Victoria Falls – Victoria Falls is known as the greatest known curtain of falling water in the world. Neither the widest or highest waterfall in the world, but because of the sheer volume of water falling – it is a truly spectacular site to see. Vic Falls as they are commonly known borders on both sides of the banks of the mighty Zambezi in both Zimbabwe and Zambia. Columns of spray can bee seen from miles away. Its a must see destination on your Zimbabwe safari holiday. Enjoy unrivalled views of the falls from the rainforest or the bridge that spans the river.
Hwange National Park – Besides the sights and sounds of Vic Falls this is a Zimbabwe holiday that is focussed on world class game viewing in the largest and oldest National park in Zimbabwe. Hwange is famous for its incredible elephant herds that have grown considerably in the last few decades. But also look out for smaller mammals like the Africa Hunting Dog for some rare sightings of this critically endangered mammal.
Sightings of the big five in a single day are common and it is an out of this world safari and birding experience.
Hideaways Elephant’s Eye Tented Camp, Hwange – Elephants Eye Safari Lodge in Hwange National Park is situated 13 km from the main gate entrance. It is on a private concession of 6000 acres and this allows for night drives and game walks not normally allowed in the park.. The lodge is bespoke and designed with the surrounding environment in mind. The Elephants Eye concession also has three private waterholes that are frequently visited by game such as leopard, lion, buffalo and plains game to numerous to mention.
Zambezi River Cruise – A sunset cruise on the river is a superb way to relax and enjoy the beauty of the majestic Zambezi River whilst on your safari holiday in Victoria Falls. You will have the opportunity to see a variety of game that includes crocodiles, elephants, hippo and sometimes even rhino in their natural environment along the river banks. Its a must do activity whilst you enjoy your Vic Falls holiday in style.
The Victoria Falls & Hwange Package departs from Victoria Falls. Whilst it is our every intention to adhere to the above-mentioned itinerary, there may on occasion be a necessity to make alterations in order to make the tour more enjoyable or practical. Therefore please treat the itinerary as a guide only.
You will be picked up at Victoria Falls International Airport. For transfers between Victoria Falls and Hwange (or vice versa), 2×4 vehicles may be utilised. All luggage, besides hand luggage and photo equipment, is carried on the vehicle or trailer roof racks to ensure maximum comfort in the vehicle. Some game drives may be conducted in open-sided safari vehicles.
Meals included in your safari will be taken in the restaurants at the various accommodation establishments. Please advise us of any special dietary requirements in advance.
The onus is on the client to organize all visas required to visit the countries stated on the itinerary.
Please note that travel and cancellation insurance is mandatory for every guest travelling with Jenman African Safaris. All insurance is solely the responsibility of our guests.
