Starting at Swakopmund Airstrip, jump aboard the helicopter for a scenic flight over Namibia’s Moon Landscape.
Guests will fly along the Swakop River toward mountain ranges that have been carved and eroded to form this stark, bare landscape. Returning alongside the Swakop River, there is the chance to spot some wildlife as well. Duration – 30 minutes
Namib Moon Landscape – Situated approximately 30 kilometres from Swakopmund, the area known as the “moon landscape” came to existence millions of years ago as the Swakop River cut through the earth’s softer deposits. This carving and landscaping over many years has resulted in the breathtaking granite wilderness we see today.
