This is a very special lodge in Botswana, it offered much more than your typical safari experience. The guides were incredibly dedicated and involved with ensuring that you have the most amazing wildlife sightings. I believe this is because the guides are part owners of the lodge through shares. As the lodge is found on a private game reserve they are able to offer exclusive game-viewing experiences that are much less crowded than Chobe or Moremi, we also saw predator cats (lion, leopard and cheetah) on almost every drive. What I really enjoyed, however, was the cycling safari, it was a totally unique experience compared to the game drives I am used to. Another highlight was the partially underground photography hide that looks out to the waterhole exactly at water level. We had the most incredible sightings here of animals lowering their heads to sip from the water and it almost felt like they looking right into our eyes hidden in the hide. The rooms at the lodge are nice and big, they felt very spacious and comfortable. All the suites have air conditioning and lovely wooden decks that look out onto the bush. We felt incredibly well taken care of and maybe next time I will even try out the horseback riding safari as well!
