Highlights of this Zimbabwe Safari

Victoria Falls Zimbabwe

As one of Africa’s most iconic travel destinations Victoria Falls should form part of any safari to Zimbabwe or Zambia. The mighty Zambezi River plunges over 100 meters into the gorge below the falls creating a mist spray and thunder that can be heard and seen from miles away. It is one of the seven wonders of the world, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and an adventure lovers playground. There’s gorge swinging, white water rafting, bungee jumping, heli flights and a whole lot more to enjoy during your stay in Vic Falls. While on safari in Victoria Falls a cruise on the Zambezi river will bring an unforgettable end to a day of game viewing and adventure activities. As the sun sets over the mighty Zambezi enjoy a gin and tonic as you cruise along the river. There’s an almost certain chance of seeing hippo and crocodile, as well as other game along the river.

Lake Kariba

Lake Kariba is a gem in Zimbabwe’s safari crown. Over 5000 square kilometers of water from the mighty Zambezi has been dammed for the last 65 years. Its sheer size makes you forget this is the largest man made lake on earth – as it really feels like you are on the ocean! It is perfect for houseboat safaris, fishing and offers excellent game viewing along its shores.

Mana Pools National Park

Mana Pools is a UNESCO World Heritage site for good reason. Situated along the banks of the Zambezi River in North eastern Zimbabwe it is a game lovers paradise. Its wild and untamed and famous for its elephants and wild dogs. Enjoy some of the best game viewing and walks in Zimbabwe from your base at Hideaways Mana Pools Safari Lodge.
