Deteema Springs opened in 2019 with the intent of creating a camp that is as intimate as it is wild. Situated inside the incredible, wildlife-rich Hwange National Park, near the Deteema dam in the north-west, a reliable water source that can attract a constant procession of wildlife during the drier months between May and November, providing excellent wildlife sightings right from the camp, by vehicle or on foot.
The camp is simple, non-pretentious, and is designed to blend right in with its surroundings. Deteema’s eight safari tents, including a family unit each feature their own wooden deck, with all the facilities of a luxury camp such as en-suite bathrooms with hot and cold running water, flush toilets and showers.
The main deck area is tented and overlooks the Deteema Springs, offering clear views to the comings and goings of Africa.
