Madagascar North Adventure – Classic Package

Our Madagascar North Adventure vacation offers you a fantastic nature-filled Madagascar vacation option. Explore the Northern part of Madagascar, including national parks with lemurs, reserves with endemic animals and beaches with perfect sand, with Jenman Madagascar Safaris.

Private lodge tour, which takes you from the waterfalls and lakes of Montagne d’Ambre National Park to the underground caves of Northern Madagascar. Starting and ending in Antananarivo – 8 Days

Tour Highlights:

Antananarivo – Antananarivo is a city for walking. Some of the most interesting places and views will be chanced upon during leisurely walks – that may climb haphazardly over the hills. Tana is truly a lovely Madagascar vacation destination and spending a few days there will be a great experience!

Montagne d’Ambre National Park – Montagne D’ambre National Park (Amber Mountain National Park) in northern Madagascar is located 35 km from Diégo, in the Antsiranana province, and 1000 km from the capital city. Wander through isolated montane rainforest of 18,200 hectares at an altitude ranging between 800 and 1.475 metres.

Ankarana National Park – Lemurs might be Madagascar’s biggest draw card, but cave-dwelling crocodiles makes Ankarana National Park exceptional. The Ankarana reserve boasts limestone caves, forest-filled canyons and a network of underground rivers. It is said to have the highest density of primates of any forest in the world such as big, green, leaf-tailed geckos, the world’s only known cave-dwelling crocodiles, a good mix of lemur species, and the night active lepilemurs in tree cavities.

Nosy Be – With an area of 321 km2, Nosy Be (‘Big Island’) is the largest of Madagascar’s offshore islands. It’s often billed in tourist brochures as the ‘Ile aux Parfums’ and, like the nearby Comoros islands, is a centre for the production of perfume essence from the ylang-ylang tree. Other island products include sugar cane, coffee, vanilla, pepper, saffron and other spices – making the markets in Nosy Be fantastic and rich with bargains!

    (March 2013)
Dear Ruth. We had a most wonderful time. Everything went very smoothly and Madagascar was even better than I expected (good weather!). Our guides were all delightful, knowledgeable and quite fluent in English which greatly added to our positive experience. We couldn’t believe how well they were able to spot the critters, from the quickest, quietest lemur to the tiniest (1″) chameleon (quite impressive!). As for Madagascar itself: we went for the wildlife viewing but were surprised by the people: they are absolutely the friendliest, smiling-est’ folks we’ve ever encountered in our travels; we got “bon jours” from every person crossing our path. I spent the last few hours taking pictures of children and watching their faces light up when they saw themselves on the screen…priceless. Thanks so much!

We went on the Jenman Tanzania breakaway safari in Jan 2013. It was amazing! The weather was great, we saw the big 5 plus other animals too, and the landscape was stunning. Jenman exceeded our expectations in terms of their Safari guide. Charmy, our guide, was knowledgeable, experienced, and personable.

    We had a blast.

Hi all, I would like to thank you for the absolute awesome time we had on our trip to Madagascar, certainly lived up to all our expectations. Some problems with Air Madagascar flights being late and or postponed but all went extremely smoothly for our family. Thanks to all your staff for the fantastic trip.

Hi Nadia, the trip all in all was great thank you. Lost luggage was not too much of a problem and we got by. The crew was fantastic and the food was superb. General sailing, snorkeling, sightseeing was out of this world. My only negative is your brochure does not make it clear that drinks are not included in the price. Other wise all in all a fantastic trip. Thanks, Regards, Colin Barry

The trip was a fantastic success. There were a few very small hiccups but these in no way detracted from a magnificent holiday, and only added to the trip, with unexpected services being added. Thank you for arranging a dream come true. The highlights were the meals on board the yacht which were 10 star, the snorkelling, island hopping and the fishing. What a great honeymoon. As a last note, the skipper (Albert) and the cook and the deck hands were fantastic.

We had a great adventure! Everyone was very friendly and promptly on time for our transfers. Our tour guide Franck was awesome!! He was so knowledgeable and had quite an eye for spotting animals. Our highlights were getting to see a lot of lemur species, exploring the bat caves, and relaxing on the beach. We aren’t city folk so we didn’t care too much for the capital, especially being followed around by beggars and vendors. The tipping situation got a little confusing but we were glad the American dollar was so strong over there. Everything was very affordable. Overall, it was a nice mix of culture and comfort. Thank you again, job well done!
