Victoria Falls – The Falls has been called “the greatest known curtain of falling water” – and it is a truly spectacular site to see. The Falls borders on Zambia and Zimbabwe, and can be viewed from vast distances from both sides. Columns of spray can be felt from miles away as 546 million cubic meters of water per minute plummet over the edge.
South Luangwa National Park – South Luangwa National Park covers 9050km2 of land, and includes the vital and renowed Luangwa River. This park, with an incredible magnitude of wildlife, is known as one of the greatest wildlife sanctuaries in the world. This park changes through the seasons and boasts a vast array of vegetation and wildlife. Amazingly, the park holds over 60 different animal species and well over 400 different species of birds.
Lower Zambezi – The shoreline in Zambia has private conservancy areas, game management areas and the relatively unexplored Lower Zambezi National Park. This region is heavily populated by hippos and crocodiles, and is renowned as a birder’s paradise with over 300 species recorded. The Lower Zambezi Valley birdlife includes several species such as kingfisher, fishing owl, fishing eagle, stork, Bishops birds, and cranes, among others.
