Experience 4 days in the five-star eco-paradise, Grootbos Private Nature Reserve Garden Lodge, and enjoy the incredible flora and marine life of the southern tip of Africa.


Tour Highlights:

Whale Coast: A part of South Africa’s Atlantic Ocean coastline, the Whale Coast has spectacular scenery and charming seaside villages. During the right season, whales can be seen breaching and splashing in the waters.

Bee & Honey Breakfast Experience – Get an early-morning buzz as you kit up in protective beekeeping gear and visit the beehives dotted around the reserve accompanied by the resident beekeeper. Learn how to harvest, filter and bottle this incredibly rare fynbos honey. Enjoy a unique honey-themed breakfast at the farm under the ancient Milkwood Trees.

Day 1:

Arrive at Cape Town International Airport and get your transfer to Grootbos Nature Reserve. Grootbos Nature Reserve is situated only 2 hours from Cape Town and 30 min from Hermanus. This five-star eco-paradise showcases the incredible flora and marine life of the southern tip of Africa.

Day 2 & 3:

Spend the next 2 days exploring and experiencing the eco-adventures on offer at Grootbos Nature Reserve while enjoying the luxurious accommodation and beautiful surroundings. Activities included range from guided walks, horse riding, and a boma dinner experience. To top it off enjoy the unique bee honey breakfast experience where you get kitted up in beekeeping gear and visit the beehives dotted around the reserve with the resident beekeeper. On return, enjoy a honey-themed breakfast, where you can sample the fruits of their labour in the dappled shade of ancient Milkwood trees. Explore the area further with a selection of optional activities such as the Grootbos wine experience, a boat trip to Dyer Island including seasonal whale watching, or beach horse riding.

Day 4:

After breakfast, you will be transferred back to Cape Town International Airport.
