Small-group lodge safari through, from Maun to Victoria Falls through Botswana and Zimbabwe. Discover some of the most beautiful scenery and wildlife that Africa has to offer – 9 Days

Moremi National Park – Moremi has been described as one of the most beautiful wildlife reserves in Africa, with a great diversity of plant and animal life – making it a ‘must see’ for any Botswana Safari.  Moremi contains – within its boundaries – approximately 20% of the Delta, and a vast range of habitats, acacia forests, floodplains, reed beds, lagoons, enduring wetland through mopane forest, and dry savanna woodland.

Grater Moremi Region Game Reserve – It covers much of the eastern side of the Okavango Delta and combines permanent water with drier areas, which create some startling and unexpected contrasts. It is the best place to experience excellent views of savannah game as well as bird-watching on the lagoons

Okavango Delta – The Okavango Delta is both a permanent and seasonal home to hundreds of species of animals and birds. Conservationists have taken a great interest in the preservation of the Botswana Delta, as it is such an exceptional area of Africa.

Savuti Game Reserve – Our safaris through Savuti will offer you the best locations from which to view wildlife.  If you book your Botswana Safari for the dry winter months (June to November) you will have the best opportunities for game viewing, as predators tend to lurk around the water holes. During the rainy season (December to April), the game migrates towards grassy areas and the zebra migration is usually tailed by roving prides of lion.

Chobe National Park – Chobe National Park is well known for the beautiful Savuti region, a definite highlight on our safari in Botswana.  On our Chobe National Park safari, you will experience one of many natural phenomena, such as witnessing one of the largest elephant herds in the world, or possibly the annual zebra migration

Chobe River – Enjoy game viewing by boat on the Chobe River, providing a unique experience with a different perspective to wildlife behaviours.

Victoria Falls – Located on the Zambezi River, it has been described as one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. While it is neither the highest nor the widest waterfall in the world, Victoria Falls is classified as the largest. Victoria Falls is roughly twice the height of North America’s Niagara Falls.

Whilst it is our every intention to adhere to the above mentioned itinerary, there may on occasion be a necessity to make alterations in order to make the tour more enjoyable or practical. Therefore please treat the itinerary as a guide only.

Vehicles: Transfers from Maun airport to Thamalakane River Lodge are in a Sprinter or similar vehicle. From here your journey will continue in a fully equipped open sided Land Cruiser or other appropriate vehicle with comfortable seating for maximum game viewing. An off-road trailer is fitted with a field kitchen. All luggage, besides hand luggage and photo equipment, is carried on the vehicle or trailer roof racks to ensure maximum comfort in the vehicle. For transfers between Kasane and Victoria Falls (or vice versa), 2×4 vehicles may be utilised.

Travelling Time & Distances: All travelling times are affected by road conditions, border crossings, detours and weather conditions, therefore on certain days travelling times may be longer than anticipated especially where there is a great distance to be covered. Please keep in mind that the time it takes to travel 100 km in your home country is not equivalent to the time it takes to travel 100 km on African roads, therefore we encourage you to sit back and enjoy the spectacular scenery Africa has to offer. Where possible additional stops will be made to ensure your travelling comfort at all times.

Meals: Where included most breakfasts and dinners will be enjoyed in the restaurants of the various accommodation establishments, however on certain nights the guide will provide an authentic meal for the group, which will be enjoyed together in the evening, often around a camp fire. Please advise us of any special dietary requirements in advance.

Visas: The onus is on the client to organize all visas required to visit Botswana and Zimbabwe prior to departure. Please note that travellers entering Botswana will be required to present a valid international health certificate of vaccination for yellow fever should they originate from or have travelled through countries which have been declared yellow fever infected areas within the preceding 6 months.

Travel Insurance: Please note that travel and cancellation insurance is mandatory for every guest travelling with Jenman African Safaris. All insurance is solely the responsibility of our guests. Please ensure you arrange your own insurance with protection for the full duration of your journey to cover personal injury, damage and loss of personal items including but not limited to camera equipment and other electronic items, medical expenses, repatriation expenses and loss of luggage, etc. Please speak to your travel agent if you require assistance.

Making your Travels Meaningful: The Grow Africa Foundation (163-738 NPO) is the responsible tourism initiative started by Jenman African Safaris and Hideaways. The focus of Grow Africa is to make a positive impact on the environment, society and economy in the places we travel to. We do this by instigating and supporting local social and environmental projects.

Your booking makes a difference: With every booking to the value of R10,000 / US$1,000 / EUR1,000 or more a donation of R50 / US$5 / EUR5 will go to the Grow Africa Foundation. Click here to see the projects your booking is.

We are also proud members of Pack for a Purpose, a global initiative that allows you to make a lasting impact on the communities you visit. Loved this trip! It really felt like getting into true wilderness – we hardly saw other vehicles on our game drives. The guides were excellent and the accommodation was great, and the whole trip was really well organised.
