Inside Jenman – End of Season Update

Looking back on a busy and successful season for us at Jenman African Safaris, we thank you for your continuous support and would like to update you on what’s happened in the last months!

NO INCREASE FOR EAST AFRICAN TOUR PRICES

With the VAT implementation on tourism products in East Africa we’ve decided not to increase tour prices for Tanzania for 2017.

NEW RESERVATION SYSTEM = FASTER TURNAROUND

The implementation of the new reservation system is leading to a faster turn-around time for tailor-made quotes. At year-end, our agents will receive access to the backend to download FIT rates, and live-quoting.

IT’S ALL OVER FOR AFRICAN LUXURY HIDEAWAYS

Jenman African Safaris’ sub-company has been renamed Hideaways. The vision is to continue to develop the brand into a market leader of small bespoke eco lodges in Africa. Our first lodge Elephant’s Eye, Hwange has received phenomenal feedback from guests for our bespoke, unique, and close to wildlife experience.

INNOVATION: SAFARI COMFORT ON THE NEXT LEVEL

Jenman Vehicle & Coach Builders have developed another unique safari vehicle. Every seat in the 18-seater vehicle is fitted with a USB charging point, speakers, AC point, and overhead lights. All Jenman vehicles are fitted with air-conditioning, and the AC success rate has improved from 85 % last year. We hope to achieve a 95 % success rate by December 2016.

CREATING CHANGE WITH CONSERVATION

We have removed all unsustainable animal interactions from our itineraries. Our responsible tourism initiative The Grow Africa Foundation has been busy: supporting the anti-poaching unit in Hwange, and running Rosmead School’s aftercare club in Cape Town. As a founding member of CWF in Hwange (Conservation & Wildlife Fund) we support anti-poaching, wildlife-human conflict resolution and conservation projects financially. We aim to leave a legacy of sustainability.
