Offering only the finest accommodation in some of most iconic landscapes on earth, the Savute, Delta, et Makgadikgadi package is the jewel in our African crown. The deep green and blues of the Delta viewed from above… the perfect stillness of the Makgadikgadi Pans… the evocative charm of the Savute… These are some of Botswana’s most exquisite highlights, renowned as being one of the favourite destinations of the British Royals’ themselves. And as such, we left no luxurious pillow unturned when we put together our finest African Safari package yet. Starting from US$ 7,010.00 per person, this 8-day tour provides travellers with elite access to some of the country’s most exclusive offerings, including scenic flights over the delta, traditional Mokoro excursions and the opportunity to see San Rock Art estimated to be over 1,500 years old. Stunningly appointed accommodation combines true African chic with the wonders of the bush.

Stay: Savute Elephant Lodge – Located beside the mysterious Savute Channel in Chobe National Park, and brimming with sophisticated African allure.

The Savute channel is a mysterious phenomenon that flows and dries up unpredictably with no connection to the rainfall. The word Savute actually means “Unpredictable – Something that cannot be explained”, geologists suspect it may have something to do with moving tectonic plates. The lodge is right on the banks of this channel and consists of raised tents with spacious, airy rooms and four-poster beds inside and a hammock on the chalet’s private deck, for the ultimate in relaxation. This wild and remote corner of Chobe National Park is home to dramatic dolomite outcrops rising out of flat plains, these sacred stones are etched with 1,500-year-old San Rock art while the rocks themselves are estimated to be 980 million years old. Nearby is a baobab forest where travellers can marvel at the towering beauties and contemplate the mysteries that these ancient trees have been witness to. As the sun sets, the silhouettes of the trees are a stark reminder that there is abundant natural beauty in the world and that we only need to take the time to observe it. The region is also where Africa’s largest zebra migration passes through, up to 30,000 of the black and white striped horse-like creatures traverse the lands during the rainy season of January and February with lions trailing closely behind.

Stay: Eagle Island Lodge – A spectacular sanctuary on a private island at the heart of the Okavango Delta.

This lodge is for those who appreciate the finer things in life, divinely decadent luxury located on a private island in the Okavango Delta. The tented rooms are simply sumptuous all elegantly decorated and each with their own private plunge pool and relaxing day bed on the terrace, a walk-in wardrobe, deep luxurious bath, and a walled outdoor shower. A beautiful base from which to explore the renowned Okavango Delta. The Delta is a lush wetland teeming with birdlife and drawing all sorts of game to its life-giving waters. Row past hippos and crocodiles in a traditional dugout canoe known as a Mokoro, and don’t be surprised if a brightly coloured little frog hops onboard to join the ride. Back on terra firma why not try a safari walk that will bring you closer to the allure of the bush or perhaps even a visit to the neighbouring Nxhoga village for an authentic insight into the Motswana way of life.

Stay: Meno-a-Kwena – Perched atop a rocky cliff overlooking the Boteti River basin, right on the doorstep of the Makgadikgadi Pans, this is also where Harry whisked Meghan away for their famous 3rd date.

A favourite jaunt of the newly wedded royal couple, this lodge is oozing with charm and attention to detail. Interesting artefacts are found throughout and even the bathrobes are distinctive, instead of the standard white terry cloth, the lodge makes use of colourful kente cloth to add that bespoke African touch. When staying in such a wonderfully welcoming place that guest may never want to leave, and although the safari experience can take place right from the tent’s private verandas that overlook the river mouth, there is a whole world out there to explore. The Makgadikgadi Pans are one of the world’s largest salt pans and activities on this lunar landscape are like nowhere else on earth. Walk with and learn more about the ancient culture of the San people or fall in love with adorable little meerkats who are certainly not shy to come up and say “hi” on a Meerkat experience.

Travellers on this tour will leave with the most unbelievable memories of Botswana, having received the real royal treatment, and experiencing the best the country has to offer!
