New Kenyan Domestic Airline to Take to the Skies

The south coast tourist destination, Diani, will be served by a new low-cost airline, Silver Stone Air, from October 10. It will operate from Wilson Airport in Nairobi and will also fly to Kisumu on Lake Victoria.

The carrier will deploy a 37-seat Dash 8-100 series aircraft and will also have at its disposal a 50-seat aircraft.

Silver Stone Air will fly twice daily to Kisumu and one flight a day to Ukunda (Diani).

Kisumu flights are as follows:

  • Departs Wilson Airport at 07h00 and arrives in Kisumu at 07h40. The return flight departs Kisumu at 08h00 and arrives at Wilson at 08h40.
  • Departs Wilson Airport at 16h30 and arrives in Kisumu at 17h10. The return flight departs Kisumu at 17h30 and arrives at Wilson at 18h10.

Ukunda flights are as follows:

  • Departs Wilson Airport at 10h30 and arrives in Ukunda at 11h40. The return flight departs Ukunda at 12h00 and arrives at Wilson at 13h10.

The introductory fare for both routes will be Kshs 4 500 (€37) one way.

All flights will depart from the Airlink Building at Wilson Airport, adjacent to the Aero Club. Group charter flights are also available to any destinations within Kenya and East Africa.
