Our guide workshop is an annual event where all of our guides (current and new) attend a weeks’ worth of training to familiarise themselves with our products and safari updates… they also go on a 4×4 training course where we test them to the limits, teach them about the engines and ensure that if they ever get stuck in the sand, they can handle it with ease! They also are taught some scrumptious cooking tips – some new meals and recipes that they can spoil our clients with.
Not only do they get to have some fun they also have to learn all our policies, pass a test of procedures, refresh their emergency processes… basically anything that happens on safari, they get taught and re-tested on at this annual workshop ensuring that our guides too meet our high Jenman standards. Well done to all our guides that successfully completed this intensive training program!
Special congratulations to Chantal for winning the guide of the year award which was announced last week at the workshop! She won one of the latest GoPro cameras which was the perfect option for her as she is very passionate about taking pictures and videos on safari… I am sure she will be sharing many special moments with us very soon with her GoPro! This award is a tough one to win as we take into account all of their safaris, their client feedbacks, their knowledge of the Jenman’ policies and procedures, their interaction with the office… and much more! The competition is extremely competitive as all of our guides always ‘rate’ well in all of the areas, but well done to Chantal. We are all very proud to call you the 2012′ Jenman Guide of the Year!
