Avenue of Baobabs

The Avenue of Baobabs is a picture-perfect natural phenomenon where rows of Baobabs shoot up on either side of a natural path. Found in the Southeast region of Madagascar just 45 minutes to the north of Morondava. The Grandidier’s baobabs are estimated to be over 800 years old and have tall smopth trunks with a series of branches spreading out like fingers of a hand right at the the very top.

Travellers will usually visit the site in the morning or evening as it is best experienced either at sunrise or sunset when the sky turns hues of orange and pink and the massive upside-down trees form striking
