The Game Reserve is named after the black eagle that inhabits the area, one characteristic that makes it a delight for enthusiastic bird watchers. Covering a massive 4500-hectares of lush Southern Karoo vegetation, the Game Reserve has proved an optimal habitat for relocated and rehabilitated animals. The Reserve also has a cheetah and separate lion enclosure, who were all rescued from canned hunting.
