Serena Mountain Lodge

Serena Mountain Lodge is the only ‘tree hotel’ ever to be built on the slopes of Mount Kenya, and offers guests breath taking views of the mountain above and the forest below, as well as incredible game viewing opportunities. Instead of waking up to your alarm clock, you will be surprised to hear the trumpeting of elephant in the morning – an experience not to be missed!

The lodge offers panoramic views from each forest facing room, all of which consist of large windows and a verandah which presents an open view of passing game. Specifically designed for game viewing, Serena Mountain Lodge offers a rustic African theme, whilst maintaining international standards. The main areas of the lodge also overlook a waterhole which is regularly visited by a profuse amount of wildlife.

41 Rooms
Each of the wooden cabin-style rooms at the Serena Mountain Lodge are equipped with a luxury en-suite bathroom and a private balcony overlooking the nearby waterhole. Decorated with hand-woven wall hangings, wooden furniture and in rich warm tones, the rooms reflect the local Kikuyu culture. Guests are provided with complimentary mineral water and toiletries, bathrobe and slippers and hot-water bottles are provided at night.
