Hyena Camp

Hyena Camp

Hyena Pan is a soothing tented camp in the private concession area NG18 that’s better known as Khwai. The concession in Botswana borders: the Moremi National Park, the Khwai River in the south, and the Chobe National Park to the east. The camp is situated 12 km north of the Khwai River, within Cathedral Mopane forest overlooking the natural Mopane Pan. The pan is an abundant water supply to many species of birds and animals all year round. From December to March, the rains flood the pan creating an enormous water feature encouraging hippo, elephant, and buffalo – and an exceptional array of water birds.
