We know that holiday choices are endless. So, what makes us stand out?
We love Africa, and have travelled it extensively. We provide accurate information – both in person and online – to prepare you for your trip by sharing our knowledge, expertise and insider tips. Africa offers adventure. That’s why our slogan is “Africa: Your Adventure, Our Expertise”.
Based in Africa
We are based in Cape Town, South Africa, and have been tour operators for over 18 years with operational offices in Namibia, Tanzania, Botswana, Zimbabwe and Madagascar. We are on the ground, and have first-hand knowledge of the destinations, routes and terrain. Madagascar, Southern and East Africa is our turf.
Jenman African Safaris understands that your holiday dreams can be specific. We can make your African holiday suit your needs, wants and desires. We are always up for a challenge! Let us know your extraordinary ideas and we can give you advice and put together a personalised itinerary for you.
We also offer scheduled safaris that are tours with set and guaranteed departure dates that run throughout the year. Our scheduled departures include everything from: accommodation, national parks, activities and highlights.
Maybe one of our scheduled safaris includes everything you wanted on a tailor-made safari? Our competitively-priced scheduled safaris could be the answer if you are travelling on a budget or prefer the company of a small group. Our Live Online Availability is available on each scheduled safaris tour. You can also contact us directly.
Our scheduled safaris only have a maximum of 10 to 12 guests so you experience a personal safari adventure with your guide. Large group safaris are impersonal – and we want to give you the best experience. Small group safaris are better for: game viewing, less intrusive on local communities and environment.
We customise our safari vehicles in our workshop next to our Cape Town head office. Our fleet contains: 10-seater Toyota Land Cruisers, 12-seater Isuzu 4×4 trucks to our larger 18 and 24-seater vehicles.
Our safari vehicles are built to make your experience, on the road and in the bush, absorbent seat covers and large game viewing windows. Each vehicle is equipped with: First Aid Kit, GPS tracking system, seat belts, spare equipment, PA system and MP3 player.
Jenman African Safaris has become a leader in Southern Africa by being the first company to introduce the 12-seater Isuzu truck, inspiring other operators.
Safety comes first
When travelling in Africa, guests might have concerns of getting lost. Our guides always carry communication devices, and our vehicles are equipped with Netstar satellite tracking systems. We know where our guests are at all times and at what speed they are travelling. If we see that a vehicle hasn’t moved for some time, we will be able to contact them and send a back-up vehicle.
We organise everything
Jenman African Safaris will take care of all your travel requirements from the moment you arrive to the day you leave. You don’t need to book ‘this’ with one company and ‘that’ with another. Come to us and we can help you with flights, transfers, accommodation, day trips and even tailor-made adventures. Or read our most frequently questions.
Our rates are competitive. We offer great prices without compromising on value. We believe that value at affordable rates is one of the most important factors when choosing a safari.
Our safaris are priced at an all-inclusive price – which means that if you are visiting a national park, for example, the costs include both the access and the activity. We don’t just drive you there and then expect you to pay the fee. Some tour operators expect you to pay the entrance fee to the activity yourself; we don’t.
Some safari companies may cost less but, we always advise clients when comparing to see what’s included and what’s not – you may be in for a surprise! There’s nothing worse than having to use your spending money for activities and meals that you thought were included. For this reason we have priced our safaris at an all-inclusive rate.
Our travel consultants know our tours like the back of their hands. If you have any questions or queries, just drop them an email or use our live chat function on the website. We know the secret gems, the best places to go and what animals you will see on your safari! Chat to us online.
We know our products
We have tried and tested all our products ourselves! We experience it before you do so that we can give you the best travel adventure. And how do we measure that? If we love it and would like to do the trip again – then it’s a success! We have strict standards for all the accommodation we use, vehicles that we travel in and the places we visit. We only offer products that meet our standards.
Our guides are exceptional
Our guides are hand-picked, and most ave been with us for years. Jenman guides are registered members of FGASA and DEAT. Every guide has excellent 4×4 and specialised driving skills. They know everything about the African animals, flora and fauna – and how to cater for guests, and cook delicious meals on safari.
Our guides are one of our biggest assets to our company – ensuring our guests have a great and safe time while learning about Africa. Our guides will become your friends!
Our client satisfaction rate for the past few years has averaged at 92 %. This is based on feedback forms with open-ended questions and a rating scale. The forms are analysed after the return of each safari. We are proud of our high client satisfaction rate!
Responsible tourism isn’t just a buzzword around here. We run our safaris in a responsible manner that meet the strict guidelines of TIES (The International Ecotourism Society). Our safaris are low impact, environmentally-friendly, use local guides, involve community projects, and support conservation. We are committed to social responsibility and responsible travel.
We have a trustworthy reputation in the travel industry and many guests return to travel with us! We are able to boast great service for over 18 years. In addition to our reputation, we are part of SATSA (The Southern Africa Tourism Services Association) that covers all SATSA members when booking their holiday to Southern Africa. It’s a financial guarantee that covers against possible loss of their advance or full payments, or protection against financial loss as a result of insolvency by our suppliers (lodges, hotels, guest houses, cruise liners, tour operators and transport providers excluding international air travel).
