Based in Africa
We are based in Cape Town, South Africa, and have been tour operators for over 18 years with operational offices in Namibia, Tanzania, Botswana, Zimbabwe and Madagascar. We are on the ground, and have first-hand knowledge of the destinations, routes and terrain. Madagascar, Southern and East Africa is our turf.

We also offer scheduled safaris that are tours with set and guaranteed departure dates that run throughout the year. Our scheduled departures include everything from: accommodation, national parks, activities and highlights.

Our scheduled safaris only have a maximum of 10 to 12 guests so you experience a personal safari adventure with your guide. Large group safaris are impersonal – and we want to give you the best experience. Small group safaris are better for: game viewing, less intrusive on local communities and environment.
We customise our safari vehicles in our workshop next to our Cape Town head office. Our fleet contains: 10-seater Toyota Land Cruisers, 12-seater Isuzu 4×4 trucks to our larger 18 and 24-seater vehicles.
Our safari vehicles are built to make your experience, on the road and in the bush, comfortable with air-conditioning, absorbent seat covers and large game viewing windows. Each vehicle is equipped with: First Aid Kit, GPS tracking system, seat belts, spare equipment, air conditioning, PA system and MP3 player.
Jenman African Safaris has become a leader in Southern Africa by being the first company to introduce the 12-seater Isuzu truck, inspiring other operators.
Safety comes first
When travelling in Africa, guests might have concerns of getting lost. Our guides always carry communication devices, and our vehicles are equipped with Netstar satellite tracking systems. We know where our guests are at all times and at what speed they are travelling. If we see that a vehicle hasn’t moved for some time, we will be able to contact them and send a back-up vehicle.

Our rates are competitive. We offer great prices without compromising on value. We believe that value at affordable rates is one of the most important factors when choosing a safari.
Our safaris are priced at an all-inclusive price – which means that if you are visiting a national park, for example, the costs include both the access and the activity. We don’t just drive you there and then expect you to pay the fee. Some tour operators expect you to pay the entrance fee to the activity yourself; we don’t.
Some safari companies may cost less but, we always advise clients when comparing to see what’s included and what’s not – you may be in for a surprise! There’s nothing worse than having to use your spending money for activities and meals that you thought were included. For this reason we have priced our safaris at an all-inclusive rate.

Our guides are hand-picked, and most ave been with us for years. Jenman guides are registered members of FGASA and DEAT. Every guide has excellent 4×4 and specialised driving skills. They know everything about the African animals, flora and fauna – and how to cater for guests, and cook delicious meals on safari.

Our client satisfaction rate for the past few years has averaged at 92 %. This is based on feedback forms with open-ended questions and a rating scale. The forms are analysed after the return of each safari. We are proud of our high client satisfaction rate!
