Baggage is strictly limited to one large bag, weighing a maximum of 15 kg. Also allowed will be a smaller hand-luggage bag or camera bag per Client. These restrictions are essential because of the nature of the tour. Because overloaded vehicles are inherently dangerous and cause unnecessary transport problems, potentially endangering Clients and Company representatives, the Company insists that every Client adhere to these luggage restrictions.
On our scheduled Camping, Upgraded Camping & fully upgraded Camping safaris all meals are organized by the guide and are prepared by him/her with the help of the group (on semi-participation safaris). Meals are nutritious and filling, drawing on fresh local produce where possible. We buy groceries along the way, so our clients have a say in what type of meals are eaten. Please advise us of any special dietary requirements in advance.
On our scheduled Lodge Safaris, you will be accommodated on a Dinner, Bed & Breakfast basis and have dinner and breakfast in the restaurant of the lodges. Should there be no restaurant facilities, your guide will prepare the meal. Lunches are usually lunch packs or prepared by your guide during a lunch stop.
If you booked a Lodge Safari Package, all meals will be prepared in the Lodges' restaurant.
Jenman African Safaris cc is able to supply sleeping bags (U$30) for the duration of the tour if necessary.
Clients are advised to bring enough money to cover the purchase of curios and entertainment (alcoholic drinks, mineral water etc). US Dollars, Pound Sterling and South African Rand (ZAR) are the most practical and convenient currencies. There are automatic teller machines (ATMs) available in Botswana, Namibia and South Africa to draw money.
Shorts, swimming costume, comfortable walking shoes, light trousers/jeans, sarong, sandals, T-shirts, sun hat, long-sleeved shirts, windbreaker and track suit. Warm clothes in the winter months (May - August).

Jenman African Safaris cc uses fully equipped, custom-built Toyota Landcruisers with comfortable seating, large windows for game viewing and a music system. An off-road trailer is fitted with a field kitchen. All luggage is carried in the trailer to ensure maximum comfort in the vehicle.
