Treat yourself and loved ones with this luxurious 5 day accommodated tour to the South-West of Madagascar, where you'll lodge at exclusive establishments such as Domaine d’Ambola Lodge situated in Tulear. You'll be exposed to various species of Lemur and get a chance to appreciate the well known 'Colony of Greater Flamingos'.
Included in your stay is a visitation to the Tsimanampetsotsa National Park which is home to three untouched species of Lemur, rare species of birds and many other endemic species, including the Grandidier's Mongoose. Baobab trees tracing back as far as 2000 years, can be found amongst many other oddities of this newly discovered National Park. Another highlight includes Nosy Ve Island, a sacred location to the Vezo people, where each year locals sacrifice zebu according to traditional rituals. The island is home to the world’s most southern all-year breeding colony of red-tailed tropic-birds, which attracts ornithologists from all around the world. Soak up in the sun and warm current. Take long beaches on the sea, and depending on the direction you take, you might just find nearby, isolated tombs. If you'd rather be inside the water than 'appreciating your surroundings' then you can go diving in the blue, deep waters of Madagascar...

Days 1: Tulear - Ambola
On arrival to Tulear you will board a boat which transfers you to the small fishing village of Ambola. Enjoy the afternoon at leisure with white sandy beaches and clear water.
Between the months of July and September you may be fortunate to witness the spectacular Humpback whales during their migration.
At additional cost and pre-arranged, you can depart on a motorised pirogue trip to watch these creatures up close. Alternatively optional excursions such as game fishing, snorkeling can also be enjoyed (these must be booked in advance).

Days 2: Lake Tsimanampetsotsa National Park
Today we set out for a day excursion to the Tsimanampetsotsa National Park, where you will have the chance to see 2 of the 4 species of lemurs (2 being nocturnal), the very rare Grandidier’s mongoose (endemic to this area only), the Radiated Tortoise, the species of blind fish that lives in the underground caves but most famously, the colony of Greater Flamingoes.

Days 3: Anakao
This day sees you transfer to Anakao – a pretty Vezo fishing village with beautiful beaches. Spend your day here at leisure. Soak up the sun and enjoy the pristine white beaches and the warm current, or explore the area on foot and find the nearby tombs. Explore the area on excursions and day trips or discover the marine life on deep-sea fishing trips or diving excursions.

Days 4: Excursion to Nosy Ve
Today you will visit the tranquill island of Nosy Ve - a sacred location to the Vezo people, where each year locals sacrifice zebu according to traditional rituals. The island is home to the world’s most southern all-year breeding colony of red-tailed tropic-birds, which attracts ornithologists from all around the world. With excellent sightings of these birds, coupled with stunning white beaches and excellent snorkeling, this island visit will be a highlight of your tour.

Days 5: Anakao - Tulear - Antananarivo
After breakfast you will be transferred by boat to Tuelar and then onto the airport for your flight back to Antananarivo, where your unforgettable tour ends. We look forward to welcoming you to Madagascar again very soon!
