Adventure Safaris:

There are many different ways to come and experience Africa.  Many people want the comfort of five-star accommodation, while others prefer to camp out in the wild.  Some want to be pampered, while others want to participate in the safari operations along the way.  If you are the kind of traveller who wants to see and experience the adventures of Africa, a participation-based adventure safari is for you.

On each of our adventure safaris, your tour guide will be responsible for the shopping and cooking of all the meals, but clients are invited to take part, which makes for a more interactive experience.  Clients are also responsible for putting up their own tents – an easy task, even if you’ve never done it before.  Many clients comment after their adventure safari that they walked away with a great feeling of satisfaction, having challenged themselves to an adventure, learned a lot about life in Africa, and really taken part in their tour.  An adventure safari gives you the opportunity to prove that what you put in, you get back in return.  If you are looking for an opportunity to really get involved, to experience Africa in a truly authentic way, then coming on one of our Jenman adventure safaris is for you!

Camping Safaris:

Our Camping Safaris make use of 3-person dome tents with a height of 1.8m. You will spend each night on safari in one of these tents – all tents are equipped with Mosquito-screened windows and doors. In addition, we provide you with 5cm thick mattresses.  We take you to specifically designated campsites either within a National Park, on the banks of a river, or at other places of interest. All campsites have shared ablution facilities with showers, flushing toilets and running water (unless otherwise specified in the detailed itinerary).

Half Accommodated safaris:

This type of safari offers 2 different levels of accommodation. Clients will spend some nights camping and other nights will be spent in Lodges, Tented Camps and/or Chalets. We make use of mid-range typical African standard lodge accommodation with most of them offering a private bathroom with a shower and a toilet, whilst others have shared ablutions. Some properties are equipped with swimming pools and/or bar areas as well.

Clients booked on this type of safari will stay in lodges, chalets and tented camps each night of their adventure safari. We make use of properties that have camping facilities as well as chalets, lodges or tented camps. This option gives the client the additional comfort of bedded accommodation.
