Matopos Hills –Visit the scenic hills steeped in tribal history, ancient mystery and dramatic rock landscapes. These hills were designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site. Located in the Matobo National Park, it is an area of granite kopjes and wooded valleys.
Rhodes Grave – Visit the final resting place of the pioneer and founder of Rhodesia, Cecil John Rhodes. Cecil John Rhodes wanted his burial site to be called “view of the world” as he thought Matopos was the most magnificent site in the world.
Hwange National Park – Hwange carries 105 mammal species, including 19 large herbivores and eight large carnivores. The big five can all be found in Hwange, including the rhino, as well as many other predators. The populations of wild dog and elephant are thought to be among the largest surviving groups in the world. Large concentrations of zebra and giraffe can also be found. One of Africa’s finest havens for wildlife.
Painted Dogs Conservation – Here at the Painted Dogs Conservation Centre you will learn about the history of the painted dogs as well as what the conservation centre does for these animals and what efforts are made to protect these endangered species.
Victoria Falls – Victoria Falls has been called “the greatest known curtain of falling water”. The Falls borders on Zambia and Zimbabwe, and can be viewed from vast distances from both sides. Columns of spray can be felt from miles away as 546 million cubic meters of water per minute plummet over the edge.
