Into the Dragons Lair - watch it!
We are so excited about this documentary - 'Into the Dragon's Lair' is a film which pushes the boundaries between man and crocodile and has won an Award for Excellence in Underwater Cinematography!
NHU Africa's Into the Dragon's Lair, with co-production partners Animal Planet US and Animal Planet International is an unforgettable documentary thriller. This incredible story was captured by South Africa's legendary Craig and Damon Foster on location in the Okavango Delta, Botswana.
It's a true story that reads like a mythological fable and is about two courageous men who use the strength of their beliefs and their intimate knowledge of animals to bridge the ancient interface between man and reptile.
Our very own Marketing Manager, Katja, went to the launch in Cape Town and she can't stop raving about it! If you have some time, Google it to find out more and to find out where and when you can see this... it's really a very special documentary and something we all, in the office, want to see! Click here to read about it on our blog.

Can a cheetah and an antelope really be friends?
We couldn't believe this when we saw it...

These images where passed on to us and entitled 'Not Hungry?' These pictures were all taken and are copyrighted by Michel Denis-Hout. After some research (about the images) this is what we found; Photographer Michel Denis-Huot, who captured these amazing pictures on safari in Kenya's Masai Mara in October last year, said he was astounded by what he saw.
The cheetahs were walking along the Masai Mara; full from a morning kill and in what seemed to be a very playful mood. They then encountered some antelope and started to play with one of the younger ones that got left behind. For about 15 minutes they played with it by licking it, putting their paws on its face and running around it! And as for a happy ending... they let it run back to its family without any hassles!
We are sure that the little antelope was very happy that the cheetahs had already had breakfast...
Introducing Kirsty - Our new Product Developer!
Kirsty joined the Jenman Team three months ago. You may remember her from our last newsletter where she shared her funny safari stories; where she was called the rain maker by locals, bumped into a hippo and traded her glamour magazine for bangles!
Kirsty is very passionate about travel has been in the industry for the past 15 years which means she has travelled all over the world including Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Kenya, South Africa and Mozambique... and in the next few weeks she will be rediscovering Zimbabwe on a working holiday - lucky her!
Besides travelling and keeping us entertained at work with her safari stories she is in-charge of our Southern Africa portfolio - which includes all itineraries, rates, routings and anything & everything that makes our new and existing tours so fantastic. Since she has been all over the world, we wanted to know where her favourite place is and why... This is what she had to say;" South Africa still has to be my most favourite destination. I have lived in the UK and Canada but I always end up coming home. I love the people, the diversity, the culture, the food, the scenery and the wildlife. It really is a World in One Country, from beaches to bush, mountains to plains, vibrant cities to rural villages I am yet to meet someone who has not fallen in love with our beautiful country."
Kirsty is a fantastic addition to the team, great to work with and has the most fantastic ideas for Southern Africa safaris - so watch this space!
When I was writing this article for the newsletter she was quite shocked that we were initially not going to be featuring her favourite restaurant in Cape Town ... And since she was quite passionate about sharing this with you all - here goes. Her favourite restaurant is Col'Cacchios - it's a franchise that you can find in most places in South Africa. The reason she loves this place so much is that the make a pizza called 'fantasia' which is made with brie, caramelised onions and sesame seeds... which does sounds really yummy!

Jenman Safaris Cover Girl?
This is most probably the strangest article I will ever have to write in our newsletters! Let me introduce myself properly; I am (Lisa - EMarketer and Website-Editor) the one in charge of all our websites, the newsletters, social media and social marketing (yes, it's me on facebook) and most of the general online marketing projects. In most cases you have had an email from me at some point... And yet I have only met a few of you which mean's that most of you don't even know what I look like.
Not too long ago I went on an educational safari around South Africa and Swaziland - which was amazing! One of the pictures taken on the safari was actually used for our brochure cover. And since it's always nice to put a face to the name - I am the one on the left wearing a black jacket and a black cap... Nice to well..."meet" you!
* Picture was taken on a morning game drive at Hlane Royal Game Reserve.
