Guest Feedback

Ann & Len from Canada went with Jenman on a tailor – made tour around South Africa (January 2012) Hi Yael!  Just wanted to touch base with you and let you know that we made it home safe and sound. Lennie and myself had a wonderful time in Africa, thanks to your wonderful skills of knowing what we should see and do. I just loved the safari's, and the B & B's.  The personel touch of B & B's always makes things that much nicer. Thanks again, and I will definitely, let others know. Ann & Len Keast
Peter Plöser from Germany was on our World In One County Safari (December 2011)

Good Morning, We are back from South Africa – healthy and happy! We had a wonderful time and a great guide who was well - informed and who always made sure that we were alright.  I would always recommend this tour and I am sure that the next clients will also give positive feedbacks. We met other travelers during our journey who were not that happy but we can definitely say that we had a great time. On the 2nd day in Kruger we had already seen all the Big 5 and took amazing pictures with our cameras. Our highlight was a cheetah running next to our vehicle and the leopard chilling in the tree. I think you can imagine how overwhelmed we were! Me and my wife are already looking forward to our next trip and we will definitely consider to book with you again! Kind regards,

Peter Plöser

Graeme Clarke from France travelled to Namibia (December 2011)
Hi Tanya,
We just wanted to touch base with you after our wonderful  trip to Namibia.
It was a great holiday and we all thoroughly enjoyed it - Peter was an
amazing guide always positive and helpful and he certainly cooks up a
delicious dinner at night - and of course the yummy breakfasts and lunches
too!
The vehicle was great - I thought outback Aussie roads are bad but some of
those roads along the Skelleton Coast were incredible - that day we had 2
flat tyres &  once again Peter took it all in his stride !
Graeme
Melanie was in Kapama Game Reserve, Chobe & Vicfalls (December 2011)

Hi Tarisai, Just wanted to say thanks so much for all the effort you went to with your trip. The whole family had an amazing time. When comparing it to the trip we took in South America last year both my brothers said they preferred the african holiday. Kapama was absolutely amazing!! all the wildlife blew us away we got to see 4 or the big 5 - only missed the leopard. We ended up white water rafting on the Zambezi River which was a fabulous experience.  Thanks so much for all your effort to make our trip so great!  Thanks, Melanie

Mandy McEvoy won our Madagascar Workshop Price (November 2011)

A warm thank you to Jenman Safaris for the amazing opportunity to visit Madagascar.
My sister and I had a fabulous time every day that we were there, but snorkeling with a turtle was certainly the highlight of the trip !
Watching lemurs fly from tree to tree was such an incredible experience, they are truly amazing creatures to watch and touch.
We both can`t wait for the next time we get to go to this beautifully unique country!

Monika and Karl Lang travelled on our Northern Experience Safari (October 2011)

First of all we would like to say that the trip was amazing! Everything was well – organized, the food was really good (I gained 3 kg!) and the guides Blessed and Ntando always made sure that we were happy. The group was quite homogeneous although we all came from different countries. We worked as a team and helped each other all the time. The temperatures changed a lot (in South Africa by night +7°, in the north of Namibia + 41,6° in the shade and 49,7° in the sun!) which was exhausting sometimes. The nights that we spent in hotels or lodges were really luxurious and we have no reason to complain about anything. The laundry service in Swakopmund was also really nice. For us, this trip was a once in a lifetime experience because we had never done anything like that before! We enjoyed a variety of experiences - one highlight came after another. Just a few comments about that: It was good that the tour started in Cape Town and ended in Victoria Falls. The wildlife in Chobe National Park was incredible and it was good to save the best until last. In the beginning we were happy about any springbok we saw but in the end it was Chobe that exceeded all our expectations! If we would have done the tour the other way around we would first have seen Chobe and would have been disappointed by the other parks with less animals.  The temperature was cool in the beginning and it got hotter during the trip. While South Africa is really European, we experienced the real Africa in Botswana. We liked the small lodges that were less busy and situated in the middle of nature. The Okavango Delta was beautiful, as well as the Guma Lagoon Camp. Sometimes we felt like in the middle of a nature film. But apart from the beauty of nature we were surprised about the poverty of the local people. That is why we were happy to get to know the school and locals as we wanted to experience more than just the tourist sights.  The market of the Herrero women was quite commercialized, as well as the Himba village. But we still enjoyed it.  On our way we saw a huge bus of tourists and we really appreciated that we were travelling in such a small group! After this emotional trip we were sad to say goodbye to Africa and to our group. We will definitely keep in touch as we have experienced so much together!

Martin Nel, Guy Werner, Grant Chapman and others went on a yacht trip on the Sea Star (October 2011)

“The crew were awesome – Richard, Sakina and Shorty. Nothing was too much trouble and they pulled out all the stops." "We had a truly historic trip, thank you. The logistics were seamless, the crew, their service and the meals they produced were absolutely outstanding. I would recommend your company, the trip and the itinerary unequivocally to friends”  “The boat and crew were tops”  “Thanks also for the excellent service we’ve received from your company”.  “It was great thanks and the service we received from Richard (skipper), Sikati (chef) and Daele (aka Shorty – buggy boy) on the yacht exceeded all our expectations. It was certainly a trip to remember and the big stories and bigger fish made it all the more worthwhile. Thanks very much for organizing the trip for us.”

Pat & Ken Watson from Australia went on our Great Trans-African Lodge Safari (October 2011) Hi Farayi, I can't believe that it is a week since we were all together in Zimbabwe - time goes quite quickly at this end of the world!Ken and I had a wonderful time in Africa - we are now sorting out our photos, which is taking quite a while - and are telling all our friends about our trip. Thank you for being such a great guide. It was a real joy to get to know you; I hope you will keep in touch, and maybe we will meet again somewhere.  Pat

Becky from America did the 5-day Victoria Falls and Chobe package (October 2011)
Hi Tanya,
I just wanted to follow up on our trip to Africa last week. We had a GREAT time!  Everything we did and all accommodations, transfers, assistance, etc. far exceeded all our expectations!  Your advice and recommendations were excellent! Thanks again for making this an experience of a lifetime and one we will never forget - it was very special for my daughter, as well as my friend and I!
Becky

Ray from Australia went on our Botswana Untouched Safari and our Botswana Wildlife Breakaway safari (September 2011)

Hello Andrew,

The first safari Botswana Untamed started from our hotel which was close to the airport at Johannesburg. We were escorted by the team leader/cook and driven all day by courier transport just into Botswana at our first game reserve area. This camp on the Limpopo River was very nice and we were offered an afternoon game drive which would have been with our Botswana driver who would be with us until we got to the Zimbabwean border crossing some 10 days later. However as we had only just arrived after a long drive so we opted for the next morning to do it but it was really a drive through parks to get us to our next destination at Rhino Sanctuary.
The rest of the trip was excellent as the guide Ntando and driver Bman were good company as well as organisers. The food was varied and all of us suffered no health problems. The accusation was also very good for what we paid for and we all liked the Bedouin camp as it was so peaceful yet very basic. Chobe Safari Lodge was at the other end of the scale in comfort and was appreciated after the long bouncy trip from the Bedouin camp…
The next Safari was Botswana Breakaway.
This trip was led by Charles who I had met about a week earlier at Thamalakane River Lodge and part way through the Botswana Breakaway. He was a wonderful leader and cook and sometimes went above what we thought was needed to give us remarkable meals. One time we would have been happy with breakfast cereals for the evening meal as we came in late but no he wanted to make sure we were fed to his standards.

I think with 15 weeks of tours in Africa now I have had enough experience to be able to make a considered judgement and would always recommend Jenmans as the preferred organisers.

Regards

Ray

Patricia and Mike Sheldrake from Australia travelled on our Northern Experience Safari (September 2011)

We arrived home today and can't stop talking about the trip. It was absolutely wonderful - every day better than the last. We loved the vehicle, had a great group and think we were very fortunate to be in a group of 12 so that we had two guides - both amazing and knowledgeable. Blessed, our lead guide was also an amazing cook! We loved all the accommodation - it just kept getting better. We were the only accommodated couple and soon referred to as the "King and Queen" - I think our trip was very different from the campers and well worth the extra cost. So many highlights - I particularly loved the Delta. We even witnessed a "kill" a springbok taken by a jackal - a little sad but amazing. We also "rescued" (we hope) an ostrich who'd got caught in a wire fence. Amazed by the floodlit waterhole at Etosha - elephants, giraffs and rhinos (it was our Jurassic Park experience!) - so many more wonderful experiences. We hope to be back perhaps to see a little more of Botswana.

Thanks again.

Kind regards, Patricia and Mike Sheldrake

Bob & Judy Riseling from America went on the Botswana Wildlife Breakaway Safari (September 2011)
Dear Tanya,
Judy and I returned last night from our incredible African adventure. Our trip was largely organized by my sister, Bea Salis and my other sister, Ruth, and two friends from Toronto, Harry & Karen Swaneveld – who accompanied us.  Our experience was truly the adventure of a lifetime! We had an incredible two weeks of tenting in Zimbabwe-Botswana-Namibia-Botswana-Zimbabwe with great game drives, good food, wonderful accommodation at every overnight area.  It was beyond what we expected and we are already thinking of the possibility of returning in the future.  We saw just about everything but a leopard and a rhino. We would be remiss, however, if we didn't say how great Charles and Hans were in making this a memorable trip for all of us.  They were both knowledgeable, personable, competent, helpful, informative - and special human beings. You are most fortunate to have such committed and dedicated individuals who managed things for us, answered our questions and made every effort to ensure our comfort and safari experience. It was truly a treat and we are unlikely to forget them - especially Zimbai. We all took thousands of pictures and I will eventually send one of my sisters and us.  However, going through them will take MANY hours of sorting, etc. After your tour we had a week in a time share of our Toronto friends and made our own drives in Kruger. Thanks again for a wonderful African adventure. It was exceptional  for the land, weather (a little hotter than advertised), wildlife, the people and the total experience.  Magnificent, Fantastic, Incredible!  Running our of superlatives.
Best, Bob & Judy Riseling
Jo and Big Mike Blackman from Australia went on the Botswana Untouched Safari (September 2011)

Dear Garth,

I just wanted to say what a great time Big Mike (have Down’s Syndrome, will travel) and I had on our resent holiday – it was more than we could have hoped for. And to thank you for your belief in a person with disabilities.

Of more importance we would also like to commend to you the tour leader Ntando Hlabangani for his professionalism, his knowledge and especially his kindness to Mike and myself. Nothing was ever to much trouble and he always had a kind word or encouragement for Mike when he was a little restless (thankfully this wasn’t often). Also our driver from Bushman tours – Beman (sorry I don’t know his last name) was like wise knowledgeable, kind and helpful especially his ability to see animals far beyond my eyesight and his tracking ability.

We will not hesitate to recommend your tour group to our friends.

With kindest regards
Jo and Big Mike Blackman

Carola from Canada went on one of our private guided Botswana safaris (August 2011)

Hi Tarisai,

We're back home from our trip! We saw so many wonderful things on our trip, and our guide, Thula was great!

Thanks for all your hard work on our trip

All the best
Carola

Marie & Ewell Rohrs from the USA went on our Botswana Wildlife Breakaway Safari (July 2011)

We took the Jenman Botswana Wildlife Breakaway Safari. It was outstanding overall.

It was July 22nd to August 5th. The weather was perfect. We had no mosquitoes and no flies, as it was too cold at night. The daytime temperature ranged from t-shirt to light jacket temperatures. At night it was very cold in some places. I had checked the temperature before leaving home and we came prepared. I brought space blankets for everyone in our group for which I was teased until the first cold night. Placed between the sheet and blanket, the space blanket kept in body heat and we were warm without extra blankets. Space blankets are inexpensive and take up very little space and weight. This was an excellent idea.

Victoria Falls was still full. The roads were not muddy. There was no rain. There were lots of animals. We could not have asked for better overall conditions.

Our guide, Dhondo, was knowledgeable and patient. We had a flat tire and that took some time to replace. That was the only real difficulty on the trip. A spare tire was not to be had and we spent hours in Maun in a fruitless search. But everyone made the best of it and the real inconvenience was not getting to our next destination until 9 PM after a long day on the road.

We saw animals up close and personal. Our game drivers read tracks and communicated with other drivers providing us with spectacular animal encounters.
We sat in our vehicle and watched a leopard play peek a boo with us from about 10 feet away for around 45 minutes.

We added a day at each end of our 14 day Jenman trip. Stayed at Ilala Lodge, close enough to the falls and town to get around easily. One of our favorite activities was the boat trip on the Chobe River, but there were so many wonderful adventures every day, it would be impossible to name any one as the best. The food was good. The lodgings were very nice and clean.  The Jenman Botswana Breakaway experience was awesome.

Dr Simons from Canada went to Madagascar and South Africa on a tailor-made safari (July 2011)

Hi Yael……just a note to let you know Dr Simons had a fabulous trip to South Africa….NO hiccups at all !
Your recommendation in Joburg was perfect…they thought that hotel was fabulous! They were delighted with Madagascar….they said their hotel room at Nosy Be was wonderful….that hotel was one of the highlights of their trip.  SO glad we upgraded the accommodation!  They also thought that 1st night  in Madagascar was a fabulous hotel…but the flight arrived late and they left at 3AM, so were disappointed they couldn’t spend more time there…they thought the city looked beautiful.    They didn’t complain about anything really….just one hotel (cabin?) in Madagascar which wasn’t great near a highway (?)…but they were VERY happy with Madagascar.

Paivi from Canada went on our Botswana Wildlife Breakaway Safari (June 2011) Our Botswana safari was amazing, we loved every minute of it. Our crew was great, food was good, accomodations were fantastic. Best of all we saw so many animals, every day, more and more. I'm still thinking about the trip every day, after being back a month already. I can't wait to go to Africa again some day! Thank you for getting it together for us, you did a great job...
Doug Matthews from Canada went on our Great Trans African Lodge Safari (June 2011)

The Great Trans-African Safari is one of the most comprehensive tours available and incorporates a wide variety of game viewing and cultural activities. My wife and I were most impressed with the overall quality and organization of this tour. We would highly recommend it to others seeking a genuine African experience.  Thula Manzini was an exceptional guide. He went out of his way to ensure his clients were safe and comfortable at all times. His local knowledge was extensive and his game tracking abilities first rate. He was also very organized and kept all of us on track. I would give him my highest recommendation.

Murray from Australia  just came back from a trip to Cape Town with Jenman African Safaris (June 2011)

Just to let you know, I had a fantastic time in Cape Town, all tours were great especially the Shark dive, water was bloody cold. Cape Town is a lovely place. I’m back at work now and it all seems a distant memory. Thinking about a safari next. Thanks for your understanding when I missed my flight, I will not hesitate to book with you guys again, and have already put a couple of work mates onto you who are wanting to visit Cape Town also.

The Rutjens from the Netherlands went on the Botswana Wildlife Breakaway with Jenman African Safaris (June 2011)

The above clients are just back and it has been FANTASTIC! They rarely had such a wonderful trip and they gave great compliments for the Jenman agents.

These are nature lovers and closer to nature, they could not come... My clients have already experienced a lot, but this was the topper!

The trip is basic, sleeping among the wild animals, and nothing else besides the sounds of the bush and animals. At night the animals even were around their lodge / tent.

The lodges were excellent and it appears that the contract with Jenman good. My clients have booked lodges and that’s what they got. The guides were great!

They had a giant safari vehicle with full kitchen, chairs etc... They cooked and the group helped with the rest... Super!

In short, these people enjoyed it very much. The trip is only just not suitable for people who fear the animals sooo close...

Henny from Travel Trend

Uwe, Silke, Hubert and Jürgen from Germany went on a safari through Botswana and Namibia with Jenman African Safaris (May 2011)

The flight was exhausting but it's worth it when you go on holiday to Africa... You made our trip an unforgattable experince for us... It was an amazing tour, but unfortunately too short... Thanks for everything, it was a great experience.

Nicola went on a tailor-made safari around Southern Africa (April 2011)

Thulani was a fantastic guide who drove us over 3500 miles and cooked every meal whist catering to all of the groups wants and needs often completing very long days that could start at 4am and not finish till sometimes 10pm.Whenever we came across obstacles, like our campsite was flooded or the local gas refill store had moved, he just took and resolved all of these issues in his stride! His experience as a game ranger and as a tour guide for over 15 years shows in his fantastic experience of all the places we went to as well as the flora, fauna and animals.  I was particularly trusting in his guidance during 3 days of wild bush camping. He also had superb experience of spotting animals, often spotting things we couldn't of had a chance of seeing. He was a really down to earth guide who made us feel really at home throughout the whole holiday. What made him a cut above the rest was how he dealt with a really difficult member of the group who had an eating disorder, weak bladder, had a really restrictive diet, was argumentative with the rest of the group and was definitely not a team player.  Thulani remained calm throughout and dealt with everything in a really professional manner. When I return to Africa I will look for which tours Thulani is leading and will definitely use him and recommend him to others, time and time again.

Marlene Purvey went on the Trans African Lodge Safari with Jenman African Safaris (April 2011)

The safari was truly a life altering experience & a true adventure!
Ann Reading went on a tailor made safari through Botswana with Jenman African Safaris (April 2011)

Jenman did a great job setting up our safari - which had very specific time guidelines as I had to fit it into school holidays. Jenman made sure we were picked up at every airport and at every lodge to be taken to the next event. We had the most marvelous time at Camp Dizhana (about 1 1/2 hours north of Maun), where we were given the most comfortable tent and the most individual and professional attention. I must have exchanged about 30 e-mails with my Jenman contact (Tanya) prior to the trip, where she answered my questions, suggested specific activities and lodges or camps, and ultimately came up with an itinerary tailored to my needs. Everything worked our perfectly! I have no problem highly recommending their service.

Robert B. Kilker and his family went on the Botswana Lodge Explorer Tour with Jenman African Safaris (March 2011)

Just a short note to let you know that my children and I experienced a once in a life time adventure due to the cooperation of mother nature and the outstanding service of our guide, Andree Merbt.

Andrees knowledge of the flora, fauna and geology of the area as well as a very positive personality made the safari come alive.

Every day we saw animals or birds that we had not yet seen.

I have terminal cancer and was hoping to experience a truly once in a life time adventure which this was.

Danielle Levasseur and Roger Bertrand travelled with Jenman African Safaris (February 2011)

Good day Nadia, our tours with Jenman are over now and everything was perfect. Thank you.
Andre Malan and Jonh Martin were two very nice persons and exellent guides. Professionnal work. We have learnt a lot about Cape Town and South Africa with them during our trips.
I would like them to know our appreciations.

Many thanks for your good work.

Martin & Lyndsay went on a Madagascar tour with Travel2Madagascar (January 2011)

Now that we are back from our epic African adventure, just thought would drop you a quick note to say how wonderful the Jenman Madagascar tour was.

Madagascar is a wonderful country to travel in. The people are so friendly, the food is fabulous, the countryside is spectacular and so varied and the wildlife is incredibly fascinating (there are so many photographic opportunities!!). And this is all in spite of a military coup taking place the day we flew into Tana - it turned out to be a bit of a non-event and we felt completely safe the entire time.

The people are wonderful and our driver for the tour (Jimmy) was fantastic. Very knowledgeable about all aspects of the country's different regions and his English was very good. He has become a good friend in the short time we were with him.  The local/park guides that he organised for us were also extremely good. All the activities/visits he organised for us over & above the itinerary items were interesting and very worthwhile.

The level of accommodation was better than expected based on the itinerary info. We had been overland camping for two and a half months prior and it was a most welcome luxury to have such nice clean rooms and ensuite facilities, and terrific service from all the staff.

We can absolutely recommend Madagascar as a place to visit, and Jenman are the people to go with.

Thanks for the tour.

The Beyer family went on a tailor-made safari through Namibia, Botswana and Zimbabwe (December 2010)

It was a really great experience! The organisation of the Jenman office (most of all from Aline Baensch) was highly professional and efficient. We were always able to reach them and they gladly answered all of the questions from us Africa amateurs. Our guide Farayi Masuka was fabulous. He always went the "extra-mile" to ensure an unforgettable adventure and he really improved our understanding of the people and the cultures in Southern Africa.
From the very beginning on we felt as if he was the 7th member of our family which exceeded all of our expectations.
All of us agreed, that we have to go on another tour with Jenman African Safaris and we definitely want Farayi to be our guide again.
Thank you so much, Jenman Team!
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 2011

Jørgen and Anette Anderson from Denmark went on the Botwsana Wildlife Breakaway (November 2010)

Thank you for a fantastic trip! It was definitely a highlight!
It would not have been the same trip without our fantastic guide, Todd!
You created a nice group spirit, planned everything well, drove very safely, spotted all the animals we wanted to see and with your knowledge and storytelling our trip became an unforgettable experience.
Thank you very much!

Daphne from South Africa went on a Yacht Charter Adventure (November 2010)

Just a very quick thank you for our wonderful 1st experience in Madagascar – totally recommend it and will definitely do it again.....

EVERYTHING was great!

Wolf and Winfried went on a tailor-made safari around Southern African (October 2010)

Blessed was a great guide as he had; local knowledge, organizational skills as respect for local people, knowing the culture and environment.
A German group went on a safari through South Africa, Namibia and Botswana with Jenman African Safaris (October 2010)

Once we arrived in Cape Town, we were able to convince our guide that we weren’t that much interested in visiting the Botanical Gardens. After some time (about 20 sec.) he made a suggestion, we were totally happy with. We did a quick trip to Table Mountain and the Cape of Good Hope and in the afternoon we visited a winery. That was amazing!

In Swakopmund we were met by Andree from Jenman Safaris. First we were a little bit skeptical, but his typically African dialect (I think it was ‘Saxon’) convinced us very quickly that we would have a lot of fun together.
We will definitely never forget his amazing explanations and the way he talked about the things we would experience the next days. As well as he certainly knows by now that beer has to be cold and I hope he’s not too mad about the fact that we rather shared one bottle of cold beer with 5 people instead of drinking the warm ones he offered us.

Say hello to Andree and thanks again!

After we had left Swakopmund we headed towards the Namib Desert. Our days in the desert camp were great! In the middle of nowhere we relaxed with some drinks in the pool. Around the pool there were some snakes and even a hyena. Just great! In the evening we had dinner in the lodge. What could be better? Here we were already able to contact our families back home. We had already seen plenty of wildlife. That’s why we came to Africa!
Zebra, kudu, antelopes, warthogs, ostriches and even crocodiles… very delicious on the Braai! In the morning we climbed the sand dunes, and then visited Sesriem Canyon – we haven’t left out anything…

Via Windhoek and Joe’s Beerhouse we headed towards the Etosha national park. We built up the tents and explored the park. Namibia, the country of the “BIG FIVE” (elephant, lion, rhino, buffalo and leopard). We wondered if we would see some of them…
And yes, we did! But the first elephant we actually almost missed, because we were all listening to Andree, who explained us the beauty and benefits of various birds. We are still talking about the “rollers”. Then a rhino came up and herds of lions and of course zebras, antelopes, diki-dik, wildebeest, hyenas and giraffes... Namibia was awesome.

After Etosha we went in the jeep again. Several hundred km on gravel roads. You get used to it. (All in all we spent about 3500 km in the jeep). Just after the mokoro excursion on the Thamalakane River, passing some hippos, we went to the Khwai Bedouin Camp. Accommodation in a tree house! House? Three walls made of bamboo and open at the front. A bed and a mosquito net inside. If you had gone out of bed at the front, one step and you would have been able to take a bath in the river. That’s what I call adventure holiday!

A flight over the Okavango Delta showed us No. 4, the buffalo. Besides herds of elephants with more than 1000 animals we saw the buffalos from the airplane. Ok, Mathias was copilot and the other four of us also fitted in but luckily we didn’t have to take any luggage with us. There would have been no space.

We experienced another highlight in Botswana. First a tented camp in the bush. Those who wanted to take a shower had to order water in advance, which was brought in water buckets. A water bag was put up on a robe above the tent. Great -  we had enough water to soap but how were we supposed to wash it up??? In the night some elephants came into the camp and during our night game drive it almost happened. BIG FIVE No. 5. Unfortunately it was just a small wildcat, but we declared it short hand a leopard.

Finally we came to the Mankwe Bush Lodge. 6 tented lodges in the middle of nowhere. A pool, some suns and “Windhoek Lager”, there’s nothing better. We were met for dinner by a choir consisting of a waitress, a caretaker and the camp manager. Our last meal in the bush. The next day we headed towards Johannesburg to take our flight back home.

We really had a great time and will keep talking about it for a long time. Thank you so much!

Erica & Chris Saville from Australia went on a fully upgraded Botswana Classic Safari (October 2010)

We had a really wonderful trip to Botswana, although we did find it a Bit hot. Have never drunk so much water in all my life! We were going through about 5 litres each day between us! Our guide Farayi was absolutely fantastic - so knowledgeable, competent, professional,
thoughtful, patient, pleasant and very entertaining with his humorous stories, as well as being a really good cook! (His girlfriend is a lucky girl!!). He made sure at all times that we were comfortable and safe and we didn't for one moment feel anything but at ease (but as I said except for the heat!).
Our local guide Kayser (not sure of the spelling) who drove the group from Maun and back and around the game parks from the Bedouin camp, was also very pleasant, obliging and competent. He is a delightful character - quiet, respectful and extremely competent. I was very impressed the day he was hanging out the driver's seat window while bumping along the dusty track - he'd spotted some lion prints in the sand and he ended up driving us right up to where the lions were. His night vision is amazing too - he was able to point out the smallest animal or bird in the dark while driving and shining a spotlight into the bush! We saw plenty of game, more than we had anticipated.

We would have loved to have spent an extra day at our first stop, Chobe Safari Lodge - it was sheer luxury but there wasn't really the time to enjoy it as almost as soon as we arrived there we set off for the river cruise, and then when we got back it was time for dinner, helping with the cleaning up and then bed. Planet Baobab was fantastic too. We also enjoyed the Bedouin camp. [...]

The rest of the people on our group were lovely and we all got on well
together. [...]

One other comment we would like to make and that is regarding tips. We had made provision in US$ for the guides Farayi and Kayser, but I think It would have been better to tip Kayser, being a local guide, in BP. Also we weren't aware of the extra staff who would be at the Bedouin Camp, and because they were all so obliging we felt they should be tipped as well - fortunately we were able to scrape together some extra BP and Rand to hand to them collectively. Maybe your itinerary could be a bit more specific in regards to exactly how many people would be involved along the way, and exactly what currency would be best to use for tipping each person so people on the safari are well prepared. [..]

Chris & I were very sorry to have to leave the group after our 6 days but we thoroughly enjoyed the whole Botswana experience despite the heat. Farayi very kindly & thoughtfully shouted us a much needed cold drink at a cafe near Maun airport before dropping us off to catch our flight back to Jhb. - much appreciated after a hot, dusty, bumpy 3 hour ride from the Bedouin camp!

We would love to do a safari in Botswana again one day and if we do we will certainly consider another Jenman Safari.

Kind regards, Erica & Chris Saville

Nathalie from Canada went on the Botswana Untouched Mobile Safari with Jenman African Safaris (September 2010)

I just wanted to finally give some feedback on my Botswana Untouched 14 day trip I took in September 2010.
I totally loved the local outfitter used in Botswana although it would be nice ahead of time to know the number of people who will be taking care of us ahead of time (to bring enough money for tips at the end of the trip).
Also, even though the week before the trip started, we got the full itinerary details stating that our guide was going to be Blessed. To our suprise, the guy who showed up was Tulani. I have to say that even though he is very knowledgeable, he was not dressed for the part (jeans and bright colored tshirts most days while Sage and Beeman were always well dressed AND had proper hygiene.
Also the itinerary was stating that on nights 1 to 3 we would have access to the camp bar and swimming pools..... that was NOT true, especially on the first night where the campsite is many many kms away from the lodge.
Also on Day 1, although the itin stated we were prodived with both lunch and dinner, we were not, we had to buy our own lunch on the road. All 6 of us were quite surprised by that.
Also, may I suggest that on the itin, the distance travelled should also be given in time, to remind us that 80km of travelling on the salt pans in Botswana takes closer to 6 hrs .... just a suggestion!
ALSO, when staying in the Khwai, I was told by my original booking agents that we were staying in the new permanent camp. On the night before (in Maun) I asked Tulani about that, he said he spoke to the office and that was not the case. Once we got to the camp, we asked to stay in those tents as there was no one else (the others did not want to pay extra so they stayed in the tents). Tulani told me that the office would send us an invoice for the tents .....
Equipment wise, the size of the tent is great, lots of space, but this is the first time I do a camping safari where the tents and mattresses have not been properly cleaned before the trip started and that is why the clients on the last morning of the trip did the cleaning as best they could.
And no freezer????? who still uses cooler boxes for 12 passengers when out in the bush for 6 days????

Overall, I still enoyed my trip although I am not sure I would book with Jenman again (I am 50/50 on it).

Christa & Günther from Germany went on the Botswana Untouched Tour (September 2010)
Dear Team, We have had a beautiful time in Botswana on our Camping Safari in September. Our Guides Murray and Sege from Bushtraveller were the best you can have! Both very experienced, patient and full of knowledge.
(…) Kind regards

Betty Wong from Canada went on a Taylor Made Tour to Madagascar (September 2010)
Hi Tanya, Just wanted to say thank you so much for arranging the trip for us. We had a wonderful time. The itinerary was impeccable, and everything just worked out the way we wanted it. The accommodations were great especially Bongani Lodge, it is a beautiful lodge and the staff are very hospitable and warm.
Needless the say Cap Town is a beautiful place.
I have no hesitation recommending any of my friends to use your service.
Take care Betty

Klaus-J.Marquardt went on a Botswana safari with Jenman African Safaris (September 2010)

We are back in Germany since the beginning of last week.
Well! I just want to give you my feedback about the itinery.
Everything just worked out the way we wanted it- the transfers were always on time and the whole trip was well organized.
The Hide and Chobe was a good start. Especially, the tour in Botswana was fantastic. Gorge, who was at the same time our guide, driver and cook looked after us optimally and he is really good cook too. Altogether, it was a totally successful journey.

Finally, I have two remarks that are rather suggestions than criticism.
1)    At temperatures around 0*C, a tour in an open vehicle is really ice-cold.
It wouldn’t be amiss if there were some woolen blankets as it is usual for other operators (Hide, Chobe)
2)    The drive to the Moremi Park is quite far away from the Mankwe Lodge (which is apart from that an awesome lodge), however, we had 2,5 hours a thrilled drive without any other attractions ( at temperatures approximately zero degrees) As I’ve already mentioned it is only a proposal not criticism.

My bottom line is: I would not hesitate to do the trip again and I can only recommend the whole tour. Thank you!

Regards
Klaus-J.Marquardt

Gina del Mistro from South Africa experienced a 23 day private camping safari (August 2010)
FARAYI: We couldn't have had a better guide. He is well prepared in so many areas it's unbelievable. He has an endless knowledge on the animals, birds, plant life, stars, cooking, mechanics, psychology (how to understand each client and work towards keeping the group together), culture, languages, etc. His driving is excellent; he's extremely cautious and never ever was there a moment where we were worried that he wouldn't get us through a river or over bad roads. A very pleasant person, always availble, always smiling, supportive and positive. If ever I do a tour with Jenman again, I will insist on having him as my guide.
Best regards, Gina Del Mistro

Rob went on the Namibia Lodge Safari (August 2010)

Our group of four families was very fortunate to have a superb support team - Rob Davis (driver), David Selawe (cook) and Malven Chiriseri (Tour Leader). Our party had mixed interests and Malven ensured that all were catered for. His local knowledge was outstanding; both geographically and also in the detail of the landscape, geology, plants, animal behavior and especially bird identification (which was a particular special interest of several members of the Group). He has a strong leadership style and his advice to us was always clear and having made the point, whether about how to respect local cultures, or on health and safety issues, he only reinforced the point if he saw group members straying; thus avoiding the 'nagging' style which no-one likes. He needed to be firm on a small number of occasions but did not hesitate to do so. The composition of the party meant that it was a self-motivating in respect of respecting the environment, but Malven emphasized the positive whenever appropriate. The aspect of his leadership which perhaps made him stand out was the way in which he negotiated changes to local arrangements in order to maximize the opportunities available to the Group-be it organizing scenic flight, a desert tour or night game drives; and in taking responsibility for making forward travel arrangements for the Group or individual members who needed special attention. Above all. Malven is a thoroughly smashing chap who we all felt privileged to call friend for the extent of our holiday and in the future should our paths cross again.

Patricia Graf and Martin Kock went on a safari with Jenman African Safaris (August 2010)
Dear Jenman Team, we are back  home after our “three country” safari and I just want to let you know that the tour was great! We were especially happy with the value we got for our money.
[…]
As a piece of advise for future clients of yours, here’s my feedback:
There are many possibilities on site to withdraw money at an ATM or to pay with a credit card. Hence, it is not necessary to put a high amount of money from your home country with. (By the way the US$ isn’t accepted everywhere)
[…]
It wasn’t always easy to complete the daily program since the schedule was pretty tight (e.g. Twyfelfontein)
Altogether, we were really satisfied with the trip and would like to come back to Africa again.
Kind regards and enjoy your evening!

Caroline Boot from New Zealand experienced our Northern Circuit Safari (August 2010)
Hi Julia, I just returned and I wanted to say that our safari was really fabulous – everything went like clockwork, nothing was too much trouble and the driver was excellent. The vehicle was clearly more comfortable and spacious than others, and our driver George knew the game areas extremely well and was very knowledgeable and pleasant.

The connections were fantastic – they came to our hotel the night before we left to explain everything, and stored our bags and organised taxis to the airport afterwards.

I highly recommend the option of flying back from Seronera – it saved us two days of a return journey back over long, dusty bumpy roads, and allowed us to make the most of our time on game drives with not too arduous travel in between hotels. It was also great to have two nights in each place – allowed us to relax and focus and enjoy the safari days without the hassles of packing up each night.

Thanks for your efficient organisation, please pass our comments on to others who are searching for the perfect safari!

Best Wishes - Caroline

Margaret & Glenn from the USA experienced the Botswana Wildlife Breakaway Safari (July 2010)
We are back from our safari and had a wonderful time!!  We saw a lot of wild animals and beautiful scenery, and stayed at some really cool tent camps and lodges (we liked the Khwai Bedouin Camp, Guma Lagoon Camp, and Camp Kwando the best).  Our guide Jorge Ndawa was fantastic and has a lot of safari experience, and made our diverse group feel like a family (my husband and I were the only Americans)…

Carolyn Knight from the UK did a Madagascar Dhow Tour (July 2010)
Hi Elena, We’ve been back for a few weeks but i just wanted to thank you for all your help and advice with our travel arrangements. We had a really memorable holiday. North Madagascar is so beautiful and the dhow trip was the perfect way to explore some unspoilt areas. Thank you so much for recommending Sakatia lodge- Jose, Isabella, Jacques, Craig and all the staff give such a warm, welcoming, personal service- we relaxed instantly and they helped the boys improve their scuba diving.
The only thing we would want to change is the night we spent in Hellville after Sakatia lodge and before the dhow trip. Obviously Hellville is pretty run down, but the standard of providence lodge is unacceptable and there is better accommodation available. I really think Ross Murray needs to consider this. Some of our fellow dhow trippers transferred directly from Sakatia towers to the dhow on the morning it left. This would have been a much better option.
Finally you might want to know that the Air Austral flights Paris->Reunion-> Nosy Be worked really well; on time, comfortable, good organisation. This could be a good option for your clients coming from Europe since i understand from fellow travellers that Air Madagascar is notoriously unreliable- 8 hour delays common.
Thanks again for all your help- maybe we’ll look at safaris with you in future.
Carolyn Knight

The Nicholl family from Canada went on the Botswana Wildlife Breakaway Safari (July 2010)
Just to let you know that we had a fantastic trip.
Very impressed with the quality of service and facilities and they we were well taken care of by all involved.
Thanks for putting this together for us and pass on my regards to all concerned down there.
Tom

Chris & Winnie from Australia travelled to Madagascar (June 2010)
Dear Hilka, We had a great time in Madagascar, it exceeded our expectations. Nono our driver has our highest appreciation for introducing us to Madagascar. We would gladly recommend him to anyone, and if we get back to Madagascar we would like to continue our travelling with Nono.

The hotels were surprising, quite a hidden oasis of peace and quiet; each one had its own enjoyment. If it wasn't that there was Madagascar to see, it would have been nice to spend a few days at the hotels. I would certainly recommend LeLac as a hidden away gem of an experience.
Thanks for organising the train trip, it was even better than expected, a really nice introduction to some of the more remote Malagasy villages and villagers, providing a different vista from the roads.

We enjoyed the Isalo area, another surprise for us. We had plenty of interactions with lemurs and chameleons and enjoyed the organisation of the trip such that we saw the wildlife at many stages in the journey.
The drive to the Ifaty hotel, I should have taken the hint when Nono said he was too old to drive on these roads, but by this stage I had explained the Australian sense of humour to Nono, so I wasn't sure if he was joking, he wasn't :-).  The hotel was worth it. Again, the hotel had ambience and the view of the sea while eating will remain with us a long time.

Thanks for all your help and adding in the Train journey, we would highly recommend our trip to anyone, and have and will be.
We also felt we got good value for money and a trouble free experience.
Thank you for all your help and interest in our holiday, we appreciate the service and the interest, we are off now to save up for the next one.....

Regards, Chris and Winnie

Richard Page from South Africa travelled to Madagascar (June 2010)
Hi all, I would like to thank you for the absolute awesome time we had on our trip to Madagascar, certainly lived up to all our expectations. Some problems with Air Madagascar flights being late and or postponed but all went extremely smoothly for our family. Thanks to all your staff for the fantastic trip.
Regards
Richard Page

Jen from Cape Town went on a Madagascar Dhow trip (June 2010)
Firstly I  must just say again how awesome it was – pretty much perfect. Our guide Sandor was the perfect mix of attentive, but also discreet – as were all the staff. There to help, but not intrusive on the group. They set boundaries well, and were clear about how much we could change their itinerary etc. The camps were divine – different enough to offer variety, but all stunning with just enough contact with the local folk, which we loved. Rooms were comfy, and we were all tired enough to sleep so well at night. Sand fleas mostly ate Bristow, which we all didn’t mind :). The rum was GREAT, the drinks were always cold ( enough) and the food incredible. WOW, crab, fresh fish daily, prawns, calamari….the list goes on. Always served with style and devoured by all – even small kids who don’t usually eat anything they don’t recognize….. It was agreed that the simplicity of the camps and the whole experience is exactly what makes it so wonderful.

Donna Burton from Canada travelled to Namibia (June 2010)
We had an absolutely fabulous trip with Jenman Safaris! I have already recommended your company to a few of my friends that are coming to Africa in the next couple of years.

Fari could not have been better. He was polite, friendly, knowlegeable, helpful and amazingly good company. He  advised us of what we needed to know regarding safety, watched out for us, and as a result, we always felt safe with him. He knew a lot about the area, the animals and the people. His knowlege about the animals habits, habitats and moods is encyclopedic. In addition, his English is extremely good. We were VERY happy to have him as our guide. Your vehicle was comfortable, extremely well maintained and clean. The hotels and lodges were unique, beautiful, clean and the food was very good. They exceeded my expectations.

All of my "must see" spots in Namibia were on the trip itinerary and a few that I didn't know that should be. The highlight for me was Okonjima or Africat - and the reason that I chose your company's trip in the first place. The only suggestion that I would make to improve the trip is to make it a bit longer and stay at least 2 nights at every location. That way it would be a little more relaxed. We would have loved another night at Africat to be able to take in their hyena game drive and spend more time watching the grasslands in front of the rooms. By the time we got to Twyfelfontein, we would have loved a day to laze around and spend more time in the area. Also Swakopmund has many attrations (my daughter went quading in the sand dunes and I went for a camel ride) and another day would not go amiss.

All in all it was a most incredibly wonderful experience! Thank you Jenman Safaris !!

Nichola Court from the UK went on a Madagascar Dhow Safari (June 2010)
Hi Hilka, Sam and I are now back in the UK and adjusting to life back on dry land. We had the most fantastic time island hopping around Madagascar, and the trip was even better than we had hoped it would be. Thanks so much for your help with organising everything. We have made friends with both the South African families who were on our dhow, so we hope to be down in your part of the world again in the near future!

Ingrid Brake-Lucidi travelled to Namibia (May 2010)

We arrived back in Frankurt safe and sound and we will certainly never forget this amazing trip that we had. Compliments to our driver and tour guide Valentine Gumpo of Jenman Safaris. Not only was he smart and intelligent but also discrete and helpful. He was very sympathetic - an attribution that is very important if you re on the road with someone for 10 days.

Because of his efforts we were able to see all the animals we wanted to from a close distance, even leopards! After this I promised myself to never ever visit a zoo again. So, thank you so much for your excellent preparation of our holiday...
Ingrid Brake-Lucidi

Janine Morris (from "Die Burger") did the 2 day Hoerikwaggo hike (May 2010)
Laurina, it was very nice. Yesterday was VERY tough, but I survived.
The camp is wonderful. I’d love to do it again – when I’m slightly more fit!
The two guides were excellent.
Thanks for arranging everything,
Janine

Paul Scofield from USA went on the Botswana Untouched Safari (April 2010)
I thought the service Jenman provided was excellent. Our guide, Blessed, was very personable, knowledgeable, and hardworking, as was the driver we had for most of the trip, Sage. The camping and campsites were excellent, as was the food. The lodge we stayed at in Victoria Falls (the Victoria Falls Safari Lodge) exceeded my expectations - very nice. We saw all of the Big 5 and just about every other animal we could think of. My favorite Park was Chobe, which is extremely dense with animals. The Chobe River is beautiful and also had a very nice cruise. After this trip we took another 6 day safari in Kruger with a different outfit, and Jenman was clearly the better of the two.

Kathrin and Kurt from Germany travelled to Botswana (April 2010)
Hello Andree,
We arrived safely and on schedule in Hamburg and we still can’t believe our luck - our original flight was the first one to be released after the whole mess of the volcanic ash!
It was the first time for us to experience ‘semi camping’ where we got to actively be part of nature! This meant that we not only saw Africa, but we also heard it and felt it.
Thanks for all of your explanations, hints and also your warnings - you made this experience more unique and very memorable. Many thanks again! In general were we impressed by your unbelievable knowledge of the landscape and animals, people and history and the politics and the economy. We wish you all the best for your career and your future success.
Best wishes
Kathrin and Kurt

Sabrina Arklie from India went on a capetownsafari site tour
(March 2010)
Hi Tarisai, Thanks for the lovely time we had on the safari and the Cape Town tour.
The safari was just awesome our game keeper  was extremely helpful and patient with each and everyone on the trip and somehow knew everything about all the animals so we got to see all the animals, including the big 5.
Even the location Aquilla was very beautiful and natural.
And our Cape Town trip was amazing, we got to see the most beautiful places on earth and Warren our guide was extremely helpful and guided us all along the way. We have come back feeling we have learned and understood alot. He gave us an amazing detailed description of every place. I would like you to say a special thank you to him on our behalf.
And I thank you also for all the help and support you have given me. I wish I had met you. You never know. I may just come back again.
Thanks once again!
Regards, Sabrina

Michael Frederick from the USA travelled to Botswana (January 2010)
I always say that you can judge a company best on how they handle problems and Jenman is, as you said, turning out to be top class.
Michael
Renate Mathieu from Germany travelled to Cape Town (January 2010)

Bettina Klein from Germany travelled to Botswana (November 2009)
Hi Silke,
I am unfortunately back in the office - I left Livingstone on Tuesday with tears in my eyes. I had an amazing time! I hope to keep my experiences in my memory for a long time and now I hope I can take part of Africa's calmness with me. Thank you very much for everything; we were spoilt at any time and everybody was friendly and made us feel at home. I also would like to say thank you to Andre a fantastic guide who is very motivated and doing his job wholeheartedly - it was great travelling with him! You can be lucky to have him in your team. I email you as soon as I catch up here- Best regards from Cologne - I miss the weather and the monkeys, which were playing in the hammock in front of my room :)
Bettina
Give my regards to Andre when he is back in office on Monday :)

Bobby Carroll travelled to Zimbabwe (November 2009)
Dear Nadia,
We would really like to thank your agency for a wonderful trip to Zimbabwe.  The Kingdom Hotel was an extremely beautiful and relaxing place to stay. The hotel was first rate, the service at the hotel was fantastic. The two scheduled activities, the Elephant ride, and tour of Victoria Falls, were fantastic. The tour group you set us up with were extremely helpful in scheduling two new activities. We went on an evening river cruise where we saw alot of wildlife, we also went to a Boma Dinner. The dinner was great because of the food and entertainment. Every person we dealt with and met associated with the tour company were extremely professional and nice. We really enjoyed the trip and if we had time would probably go there again and spend more time.
Thanks for everything.
Bobby Carroll

Doreen Moore travelled to Rwanda, Uganda and Madagascar (November 2009)
Adele, I would like to thank you for making our trip to Rwanda, Uganda and Madagascar happen in such short notice. We had a great trip.  The accommodations, site seeing and food where beyond expectation as we have usually toured in African countries by truck camping. I would also like to make sure that you pass along word to Mr. Jenman that his operator in Uganda is the best guide that I have ever had.  We have travelled  the world and we have never had a person so knowlegable and compassionate about their job as Karen Mikkelsen. She represents your company well and I strongly recommend you use her when ever you have a trip to Uganda. Thanks again for all the hard work that you did to make sure we got in and out of Africa before the rains.  It only rained on the day that we trekked to see the gorillas.  Oh well, they are the gorillas in the mist, so we saw them when it was misty.
Doreen...

Judith Bone travelled to Botswana (November 2009)
Hi Nico
You were an excellent tour guide and driver - one of the best I've come across. It really was a wonderful trip. There is still frost on the cars outside - what I'd give to be be back.

Margit Tschech from Austria travelled to Botswana (November 2009)
We had a good journey back, and we shall remember this outstanding holiday in Botswana under the guidance of Thomas. He is a remarkable guide, very patient, helpful and very discreet. We have been more than satisfied and congratulate your company for have such capable staff. Until next time.
Margit Tschech

Robin Patterson travelled to Madagascar (October 2009)
Hi Nadia,
My wife and I would like to thank you and all the Jenman "Salama Tsara" staff for a really wonderful Dhow Trip. We shared the trip with 5 other wonderful people - 3 school teachers from South Africa and a couple from Tasmania. It really was a fantastic experience!!  Once again many thanks!! PS:  We are looking at doing your 22 day Namibian trip starting in Livingstone next September!! Regards
Robin

Dr Ken Hutchings went on to Madagascar on a Kayaking trip (October 2009)
Hi Rebecca
The trip was fantastic! Awesome, stereotypical tropical paradise! Did lots of diving and fishing (not very successfully), but great holiday.
Thanks for all the organizing it went very smoothly.
Cheers, Ken

Richard Dennison went to Madagascar on a Kayaking trip (October 2009)
The kayak trip was also great - Salama Tsara is beautiful and rustic. Ross has chosen some great spots and the accommodation was more than ample. The guys who ran the trip; Mohammed and the crew of the boat were great - tireless workers with a friendly attitude…. Last, but by no means least, you did a great job in getting flights and itineraries sorted. A friendly person organising ones ticket puts a person in the right frame of mind to enjoy ones holiday.
Norwegian group travelled to Namibia (October 2009)
Dear Debbie !
I got a phone from June Sarum yesterday, one of the participants on the tour below. They were extremely pleased with the whole trip, service, people and activities. She said they were 200 % satisfied, maybe only complaint were a couple of flies here and there, but not many :) They arrived back in Norway with stars in their eyes
So, thanks a lot for all your help.

Lind Campbell from the USA travelled to Zimbabwe, Botswana and Namibia (October 2009)
This was a terrific trip for cost. The guide (Garland) was exceptional, the accommodations were good to great, the front office of the agency was always courteous and professional, the itinerary was rich, the activities all doable, the group ended up with great cohesion. It has opened my thinking to a new way to travel-overland journeys. Compliments to the operator.

Helmy Sauer from Belgium travelled to Botswana (October 2009)
I was with Andree and 3 couples from Sachsen, 2 persons from Thuringen, 1 man from Luneburg, and me, Belgium (as a matter of fact Austrian). It was a unforgettable trip. I wanted also to felicitate you to that sort of safari, where the fact of cooking 3 times the day all together created an excellent group harmony. I would do the same experience every next time!

Gerda Florentyn travelled to Ethiopia (October 2009)
Ethiopia is a wonderful country (!!) But I will return... because wow, beautiful landscapes and I would like te see the historical sites. Jeep, driver and Guide were perfect! The guide knows perfectly the history about his country, all information about birds, people etc... 10/10 !

Boris Soljka from USA travelled to Botswana (October 2009)
Dear Nadia,
We had a wonderful month in southern Africa. Everything turned out, almost perfectly. The Botswana Safari was terrific. Mike Miles was a great guide and game finder. We all enjoyed the 14 days. My recommendation would be that Jenman also offer this safari with all breakfasts and dinners at a lodge.Another recommendation would be to replace the ice chests carried in the Toyota and the trailer with battery powered chests. Just two minor recommendations. Neither of which would restrict us from highly recommending Jenman to others for their planning. Carole and I are seriously considering a return trip next year. I hope that all is well with you. I'm sorry that we did not have the opportunity to meet. Sincerely,
Boris

Comment from Jenman Safaris:
Hi Boris,
Thank you very much for your constructive feedback and we are delighted to hear that you enjoyed your safari with us.
The Botswana Wildlife Breakaway Safari, which is the safari you chose, is a Camping safari with an option to upgrade to fixed accommodation. However, the style remains a camping safari and meals are prepared by the guide with the help of the group. This allows holiday-makers who are on a budget to travel through Botswana in an affordable way without having to camp.  We however also offer a Botswana Lodge Safari, where all meals are provided in the restaurant of the lodges.
We are in the progress of upgrading all our camping equipment and will as of January 2010 only operate with freezers and fridges in our trailers.
Thanks again for your feedback..
We are looking forward to hearing from you soon.
Your Jenman Safaris Team

Jochen Klinkenberg from Germany travelled to South Africa (October 2009)
Hello Hilka,
Unfortunately we are now already back in Germany for one week again.
The holiday was very very nice even if the weather in Cape Town has not cooperated for several days. But we will definitely come back and hopefully we will have more luck. Thanks again from all of us for your organization and best wishes from cold, rainy Germany.
Jochen

Yves & Kathleen Perrin from USA traveled to Botswana and Zambia (October 2009)
Hilka:
I just wanted to let you know that we have completed our Africa trip (we just got back to the United States a few hours ago) and that everything went perfectly. All the reservations, activities, transfers, and other logistics were handled without a single problem. Everything went like clockwork. Thank you for your work and for all you did to make this possible. This safari experience will remain a memorable and choice trip for my wife and me. We have taken hundreds of pictures which will help us remember this great trip for years to come. I wanted you to know that I would not hesitate to use your services again or recommend your company to anyone. Africa is not always an easy destination as far as logistics are concerned. Jenman has definitely the right connections and the knowledge of the area which helps make the journey enjoyable. Thank you again to you personally for working all the details with me. We couldn't be any happier about what we did.
Yves and Kathleen Perrin

Tom Deoudes from USA travelled to Victoria Falls (October 2009)
Hi Nadia
Thanks again for everything, it all went very well. The hotel was nice and a very good value. The breakfast was fantastic but dinner was only okay. The only thing I wish we did different was take the tour in Chobe instead of the sunset tour on the Zambezi. We would have done it but the return visa's would have cost and extra $80 a couple so we felt somewhat trapped in Zambia. The staff was very nice and tried to see to all our needs. The activity center was very accommodating and worked hard to help us in any way. We are obviously spoiled as to the way we like our waitress' to wait on us, although they were very nice they at times seemed a little slow. Not enough to harm the wonderful time and the experience we all shared. Darrell and I also got chased by the bull giraffe which of course we will never forget. Too long a story for this mail.  Again thank you very much for all your help, you really were a big part in making our trip a wonderful memory.
Sincerely,
Tom Deoudes

Philip Swart from South Africa is going on a Botswana Wildlife Breakaway (October 2009)
Hi Hilka
Thanks for coming back to me so fast, am really impressed with your service so far. But then again, I know about Jenman Safaris as 1 of my friends used to do Botswana tours for you a few years back and I also did a Cape to Vic Falls tour with you in 2003 as trainee guide. So that's why I choose Jenman safaris and I know it will be good.
Really appreciate all your effort
Philip

Isabel, travel agent from Portugal (October 2009)
Dear Laurina,
Our clients have already arrived and they said that were grateful. The guide was fantastic and the lodges are very good. They are very satisfied with Jenman Safaris and we also too. I hope we work together soon.
Thanks a lot. Best regards
Isabel

Heike from Germany travelled to Namibia (September 2009)
Hello Andree,
I would like to use this way to thank you again personally for your work as a pleasant, humorous, driving and cooking guide. In your inimitable manner you have provided us with much information about country, people, flora, fauna, but also about social structures and current simmering problems. The concentrated commitment of you and your team in Cape Town in a very displeasing situation for me (loss of my travel documents through burglary) will remain in outstanding positive memory, because of you offering quick and comprehensive help. That shows that the staff of Jenman African Safaris does not regard the customers as a 'process', but they get involved with the needs of the individuals on a very high level. For the next trips I wish you:
Nice fellow travelers, no blowouts, dry firewood, the correct amount of falling stars at the declared places :)
& do not do anything I would not like to do either!!!

Anne Taylor Smith from South Africa travelled to Madagascar (September 2009)
The trip was amazing and lived up to all expectations and more! The crew were extremely attentive, food really fantastic and accommodation very comfortable.  I returned home feeling my soul had been nourished! Thanks for arranging this memorable getaway!

Wiebke & Gunter from Germany (September 2009)
Africa, a fair and beautiful continent, which you can't nothing but love  Jan and Andre also committed themselves to this country.
As guide's they are afoot all the time, always anxious, to show their guests lots of beauty and interesting.
From their ability und knowledge we are very impressed, because they explained us a lot point by point.
The nights are often short for the two, but it doesn't embarrass them to show us a brilliant smile at the next morning.
The kitchen, the cooking they command with bravery, how do these glamour boys do that??
In a jiffy the field kitchen is arranged and removed and with the same speed the food and the dishes are already secured.
The days with you were gorgeous, lion, elephants and lots of coloured birds we have seen.
We say thank you for these unique trip, in the baggage we take lots of memories with us.
For your future we wish you luck and all the best cordially
Yours Wiebke, Gunter, Inge and Ute

Stefanie Czyborra from Germany "Northern & Southern experience" (September 2009)
I've still been thinking of my 3 weeks time in Africa & for which, of course, the great pictures on my screen saver are a perfect support. I want to thank you all again for the great organization and realization of the tour. That was the first time I've attended such a tour. Before that, I only travelled through internetrail - which I liked, since I could be my own guide and stop everywhere I wanted to. For this reason, I was a little afraid of following a planed, scheduled journey each and every day. But after a short time I got used to it and enjoyed myself a lot! The whole tour structure was very good starting off in green South Africa into the Namibian desert. After some very dry and dusty days water and vegetation again were a boon! I would not have done the tour vice versa. 1 and a half days in Swakopmund were a nice change to the rest of the program. I think I don't have to say anything about Etosha! The stop at the border to Angola was kind of a rebound for not having seen lots of locals by then. The elephants in Botswana were absolutely amazing and are now some of my favorite shots.
Best regards from autumn Herisau

Norbert Nitsch from Germany travelled to Southern Africa (September 2009)
Dear Adele,
Unfortunately, our Southern Experience holiday is over. It was wonderful and I'm definitely going to recommend Jenman Safaris. Thank you a lot for your previous patience and your support answering my email requests.

Barry and Sheila Johnstone from Canada travelled the Garden Route (September 2009)
Good morning Laurina,
We arrived home from our fabulous trip to South Africa and Zambia last Friday.  We want to say a huge 'thank you' to you and your company for arranging our trip.  The whole experience was amazing, and all the details were taken care of flawlessly. All the guest houses on the Garden Route where superb, and the owners/ managers most welcoming and helpful.  They were always ready with side trip suggestions to show off their particular area. We took in many of those.
The three game park lodges were each different in both style and experiences.  We were thrilled by all the game viewing, and the knowledge of each of the rangers.  We have come home with memories that will stay with us forever.  The Royal Livingstone was an experience not to be missed - pampered plus!
Thank you for all your efforts, and for following up with confirmations at every step.  We cannot say enough good things about you.
Barry & Sheila Johnstone

Norbert Roessler from Germany travelled to Namibia, Simbabwe and Botswana (August 2009)
We deliberately chose the Southern Skies tour, due to its variety (at first focus on water, then on wildlife and at the end on those amazing landscapes... all of that mixed with some culture). Our expectations of the tour were perfectly fulfilled. The organization was excellent - even for German standards - the food was varied and tasty and our guide was extremely dedicated. The only 'disadvantage' was we would have liked to stay longer at some places (Chobe, Kwando, Etosha, Brandberg, Swakopmund), but that actually rather shows how great the tour was.

Colin Barry from South Africa travelled to Madagascar (August 2009)
Hi Nadia, the trip all in all was great thank you. Lost luggage was not too much of a problem and we got by. The crew was fantastic and the food was superb. General sailing, snorkeling, sightseeing was out of this world. My only negative is your brochure does not make it clear that drinks are not included in the price. Other wise all in all a fantastic trip. Thanks,  Regards, Colin Barry

Bärbel and Hans Pinter from Germany travelled to Botswana (August 2009)
Dear Mr. Garth Jenman, it is really our pleasure to contact you short after our a.m. trip with Jan. We would like to stress out on having a phantastic sight-seeing tour through North-Botswana and Namibia Caprivi strip this month. Especially Jan was a wonderful guide with an extensive experiences of wild fauna and flora. Furthermore his knowlewdge was excellent and comprehensive with social and political facts of the southern african countries. He was a competent and a well informed conversationalist. Last but not least, we also enjoyed his offered breakfast, lunch and dinner presented with a pleasant taste every day. It isn`t the first time for us of travelling abroad and having a guide explaining all important issues. But with Jan we are full satisfied and hope that his carrier should be successfull in your Company. With best regards Bärbel and Hans Pinter

Maria and Peter from Switzerland travelled to South Africa (July/August 2009)
In short, everything was just perfect! :-) A little bit more detailed: The pickup at the airport in Joburg was very good, we met a nice guy of the transfer company who brought us safely to the Hotel City Lodge. Also the hotel was great, clean, friendly and with helpful staff. And the safari itself, starting from the early-morning pick-up of John, who informed us the day before about the exact time, was a 100% perfectly organized. No words about the safari :-) ...except highly competent and very friendly guides, excellent cook and food, nice and simple tented camp, good car for the game drives, almost no other tourists... Something like this, meaning a walking safari and simple accommodation (however, it was quite luxurious, because e.g. the cook placed a hot water bag every evening because of the cold temperatures during the night!) is much better than a 5-stars-lodge. We have seen so many creatures, animals, birds, plants and experienced highly emotional situations. We were so lucky. Just great!!! Also returning to Johannesburg and then the pickup to the airport for departure went well. So, absolutely no complaints, because it was great value for money. Maria & Peter

Jim & Phyllis Conran from USA travelled to South Africa (July/August 2009)
Dear Wayne: I wanted to thank you all for the wonderful time we had in Cape Town a few weeks ago while on holiday with Jenman.  WE had the good fortune to have Lazarus as our guide and he was wonderful.  Cape Town certainly is a wonderful city and the wine country was the best.  Please thank Lazarus for his great care.  Jim & Phyllis Conran
Geoff Spiby from South Africa travelled to Madagascar (July 2009)
The trip was pretty much what I expected and we had lots of fun. We were a group of 11 (all good friends) but I wouldn't like to do the trip with strangers.
The crew were great, the food was tasty/adequate and usually there was just about enough (..)

Trinidad Gonzalez from Spain travelled to Madagascar (July/August 2009)
Dear Amina, many thanks by all your work and organization of our trip. All has been marvellous and the planning and execution, in general, has been perfect. I can tell you that I have enjoyed very much in Madagascar. Thanks a lot by your help. Regards, Trinidad
William Bennet from the UK travelled to Namibia, Botswana and Zambia (July 2009)
It was the best trip of my life. We saw all the animals, the interactions with the local bushmen were raw and real.  So it was amazing. Thank you so much. The people I was with said they researched forever I relied on you and it was great.
Mark Knops from Netherlands travelled to South Africa (July 2009)
Hi Adele, thanks for your email. Unfortunately I'm back home, and back in business as before :-( Our holiday was fantastic! Good accomodations, perfect coordinations how to drive and no bad experience (). Cleo Mountain was perfect and Kapama was Brilliant!!! If you need more information about accomodations, routes or anything else, please let me know. Thank you for making a nice programme! Best regards, ING drs. M. (Mark) Knops

Maury J. Molin from USA travelled from Cape Town to Victoria Falls/Livingstone (July 2009)
WOW!! What a trip, experience and adventure I had. Jenman certainly knows what they are doing and if there is a better guide then Todd Mentz I like to meet him.  Todd's knowledge, driving skills, cooking and overall personality made to trip a perfect safari holiday. He always went the extra mile and took no shortcuts to our comfort, handing everything professionally, and sharing a complete African safari experience.  The entire "Southern Experience" gives one a very diverse taste of culture, geography, animals and views that are second to none. This is my third trip to Africa I have been to over 60 countries in the world and all of the continents and have found this adventure to be the best ever.  Back in the states now for 5 days and I am missing the southern experience... Good luck to future travelers with Jenman and especially our guide Todd Mentz. For those that do not gain the experience that Jenman and your guides provide then they are missing out. Cheers! Maury J. Molin, East Stroudsburg, PA USA
Jan Krucker from Germany travelled to Zambia (July 2009)
The tour is absolute recommendable, except the delayed tour start (...) everything worked perfectly. Our guide Mr Mecklenburg was absolute top class and conjured delicious food with the limited averages, he was always well-informed and helpful. The vehicle, a Toyota Land Cruiser, was in very good condition. The route of the tour was fantastic, the tour description absolutely correct and very detailed. Hiking boots are really not required for the short walking-tours (as in advance advised by you). The visa for Zambia (one-time entry) is available for 50 USD without any problems. However, the nights in the tent are very cold; here it would be advisable to inform clients correct to bring a jumper, scarf and thick sleeping back. But we were never really cold. Kind regards from Dsseldorf, Jan Krucker
Wendy Crowder from California travelled to Zambia & Botswana (June/July 2009)
Hello Elana, we've been back in California for a month now after the wonderful safari you put together for us.  (June 25-July 15-Warren Gedye, guide)  All of my group of 10 enjoyed our time in Zambia and Botswana thoroughly. Warren was a superb guide, as I'm sure you know.  I can't recommend him too highly.  His humor, calm and competence never failed to make any potential problems disappear.  Thank you to you also for all the special treats you arranged for us, such as the sundowner cruise on the Zambezi and the dinner in Vic Falls.  Also, I appreciate you extra effort in finding and shipping the camera battery that we needed-it chased us around and found us, and thank you for taking it back when it turned out we didn't need it after all! A highlight of our trip was the visits you made possible to the schools, village and clinic in Mfuwe, Zambia.  We were all moved and impressed with the students/teachers/nurses we met.  We have been sending medical supplies and money directly to the clinic, and also to the schools through Robin Pope Safaris.  I've been to East Africa 5 times, and never have I been able to visit with the local people as was possible in Mfuwe-it was really a treat, especially for those in my group who had not been to Africa before. I do have a few suggestions that might help you in planning future safaris in the areas we visited. () We would have preferred to spend less time at Vic Falls.  As you know, we transited through Zimbabwe as the activities we chose were fully booked on the Zambian side.  When we arrived at Kubu Lodge, a great place, it was evident that we could have made a day trip to Vic Falls by road to look at the falls and do an activity.  This would have left more time to enjoy Chobe, which we would have liked.  We could perhaps have flown Mfuwe/Lusaka/Kasane, skipping the stop at Vic Falls.
Thank you, Elana.  You and Walter put together a terrific safari!  The six of us who had not been to Africa before have been bitten by the Africa bug; we'll all be back soon, we hope! All the best, Wendy

Larry Orlick from California travelled to Zambia and Botswana (June 2009)
Elana, this is just a note to let you know how much we appreciated the Jenman Safaris trip that my wife and I attended along with several other friends. We were accompanied by Warren Gedye on the trip in Zambia and Botswana from late June until mid July. Not only was the trip a terrific experience and a adventure to remember forever, but the trip was especially enjoyable with the smoothness and how virtually "bump free" the whole trip went. This was in no small part as a result of Warrens experience and abilities to deftly manage a bunch of bumbling tourists. Warren handled every situation with a smile, competence and professionalism that only comes from his superior people managing skills and ability to  handle situations "on the fly" that are required of traveling on the road, particularly in Africa where "kinks" pop up around every corner. His great sense of humor and wealth of campfire stories of past experiences kept our spirits high for the whole trip. Kudos to your company for having such a fine employee and tour leader. Give that guy a huge raise! Sincerely Yours, Larry Orlick & Kathy Donovan; Oakland, California
Niels Svane Müller from Denmark travelled to Botswana (June 2009)
By the way I heard from Niels Svane Müller and they have had a fantastic tour - lots of good experiences and African adventure!! So I bring on the positive feedback to you. Please let the guide know as well ;-)
Verena Knupp from Switzerland travelled to Botswana (June 2009)
Good day Hilka! We arrived back home safely. The travel was excellent; however most of the regions were over flown. The animals were scattered in small groups over the huge area. I am sure you are aware that this year there is no water shortage. Mike Miles always found a solution, his cool attitude in each situation and his safe driving style convinced us. The lodges and permanent tents were all good. () Kind regards and many thanks again to Mike Miles. Verena Knupp & Doris Aeschlimann
Maria Petersen from Denmark travelled to South Africa (June 2009)
Hi All! Just a quick note to say thank you to you all for a great fam trip. We really enjoyed it - and your company! Was great to share experiences and getting to know you all! Back in Denmark sales have finally started picking up a bit and now with Denmark beating Sweden in one of the qualifiers and being even closer to qualifying for the 2010 in SA (Sorry Monika and Hakan) things are sure to be busy for next year. We hope you're all doing good and are getting back into the swing of things. Hope to hear from you all! Cheers, Maria
Colby Landry from USA travelled to South Africa (June 2009)
I am pleased to say that my safari/holiday was wonderful. I delt with Nadia for everything except my hotel reservations. She was quite helpful and took care of all my needs. We communicated through emails and I called her once I had arrived in South Africa. The service was second to none. She booked me with a 5 day walking safari. The safari group consisted of myself and 7 others with 2 guides. I was apprehensive at first traveling alone, but I could not have emagined that I would meet such wonderful people. Also the guides were very knowledgable and went the extra mile to insure that we all had a memerable experience. The camp was more that i expected and I could not have been more comfortable. Although I have never been on a safari before this trip and have nothing to compare it too I give it a 10 out of 10. I would recomend this package to anyone, weither they are traveling alone or as a family. The 5 to 6 hour hikes in the morning were pleasant and gave me the opportunity to see the small details of the bush, and the afternoon and evening drives were amazing as we were able to get close to lots of game. Unfortunately we did not see and of the big cats but a 30 minute encounter with a male elephant at less than 20 meters made up for anything I didn't see.
Stephen J Avalyan Newton from UK travelled to South Africa (June 2009)
Dear Adele, many thanks for your note. Yes, the holiday was marvelous apart from the terrible slow queuing at Cape Town upon departure! Everything else was first class. The people of South Africa are warm, honest and very polite and friendly which my home country would do well to learn from :-) I shall definitely be in touch for future help with my visits to your wonderful country. Best wishes and thanks for your excellent work to make our holiday unforgettable. Stephen
John Maytham from 567 Cape Talk  in South Africa travelled to Madagascar (June 2009)
"It was a fantastic trip. All the choices you made were perfect, and the arrangements all worked out with a minimum of fuss and bother. Thank you very much."
Luciana Conconi from Italy travelled to Botswana (May/June 2009)
"Dear Sirs, this is to inform you that the Botswana tour I had the pleasure to do together with my friends has been very successful, due to the beauty of this country, the variety of the happenings and at last but not least to the professionality of our guide, Mr. Thomas. He is not only a very conscius person, careful driver, good cook and hard worker, but was always ready to fullfill our desires. () We had a lot of fun and pleasure. I am looking into your pamphlets regarding other countries. I might be interested in future in Ethiopia and Tanzania (not very soon ....) . You mention that you would give a discount on a second trip. Maybe we will take this opportunity. We will let you know in due time."
Marlene - travelled to Tanzania (May 2009)
Hello, apologies for the delay in answering your e-mail, came back on the 2 June to Dublin, been busy at work, but my soul was still on the African plains!! Verity, the trip and safari was everything we wanted and MORE!! From arriving at Arusha till we were dropped at Kilomanjaro, we could not fault anything at all. The driver and guide, Rashidi, was professional, informative, extremely pleasant, the cook, Daudi, prodused the most wonderful food every day, both was good company and also had a excellent sense of humour,  and we laughed  a lot. They could not do enough for us. I just mention to the others that I will miss ice in the whiskey at night, will you believe it, they make sure that we had ice EVERY evening for our drinks. We saw amazing things, every day something new, we landed in the middle of the MIGRATION. The rains were late, we were fortunate to see the last end of thousands of wildebeest and zebras around us at our camp at Seronera, for 3 days and nights one could here and see them. From the treeclimbing lions to the ever shy leopard, to the wonderful sunsets and the smell of rain on the dry earth, we experience it all. I attached a few photos for you. Thanks so much for all your help, and I will pass on your name to others that will be interested. Keep well, regards, Marlene
Irma - travelled to Botswana (May 2009)
Gentlemen, from 19 May up tp 04 june 2009 we had a safari booked through you. We enjoyed the itinerary very much (). I want to express anyhow a particular mention for our driver-guide THOMAS DHLIWAYO, a very professional person, always ready to comply with our requests and to solve our problems. Thanks to his kindness and helpfulness, we now have a very beautiful recollection of this trip in the wonderful Africa. Thank you, Thomas!
Betty - Travelled to Botswana (May 2009)
"I just wanted to drop you a quick note and thank-you for your help setting up the Victoria Falls/Chobe part of a trip.  I was just working on organizing the pictures from the trip and realized that we are truly blessed.  Our experience in Africa was amazing. Chobe National Park exceeded our expectations.  The game drives were spectacular - We could not believe there could be that many elephant in one area. The lodge was also spectacular. The level of customer service was far superior to any other place we stayed in all of Africa. It is evident that excellent customer service is their focus. The Victoria Falls were also magnificent it is no wonder it is one of the 7 Natural Wonders of the world. We are very pleased that this portion of the trip was a success.  We owe that to you.  Thanks again for making it possible."
Anria - travelled to Madagascar (May 2009)
"The holiday was absolutely amazing! We had a lot of fun and everything went very smoothly. The first part we organised ourselves was crazy, driving up and down in crowded taxi's but the sights were completely worth it and then the Dhow experience itself was wonderful. The service was very good, the food was great the accommodation was good, and the sights were beautiful. I have very little to critisise really. Thank you for the invaluable part you played in organising everything."

Claire - travelled to South Africa (May 2009)
"The FAM trip was great!! We had a fantastic group of people and a great guide! I really liked the way we were able to experience 3 different levels of accommodation the 2 nights camping were my favourite J I know timing is a limiting factor ... maybe a couple of nights in Swaziland next time? I found Mike (marketing manager for Big Game Parks) very helpful in highlighting what Swaziland has to offer. The staff at Kapama River Lodge showed us to Kapama Buffalo Camp and Kapama Main lodge, which was really helpful as they cater for fewer numbers compared to the river lodge. Timbavati Safari Lodge was good. There is a Kiwi girl helping run the lodge with her partner so were able to trade news/stories. The new boma/restaurant/pool area is very spacious. I wasnt aware the lodge is not in the Timbavati Game Reserve itself, and instead the closet lodge to the Orpen entry gate for Kruger. Its a great 3 star lodge and location. Pondoro was just gorgeous very intimate! Robbie and Lize were perfect hosts and knowing they built up the lodge and business, gives the lodge a very personal feel/experience. I loved their banded mongoose family!
It was really helpful to have a days game drive in Kruger Park (via Timbavati Lodge) and to compare to game drives in Kapama and Pondoro as I can now talk to clients about differences/similarities etc. To summarise .... Cape Town, INDABA and the FAM trip were absolutely fantastic really enjoyed myself - again many thanks for your help in planning. Cheers for now"
Fabio - travelled to South Africa (May 2009)
"Thanks for the amazing experience that i lived....fantastic places, fantastic persons and fantastic organization.i hope to confirm some people with your company soon!! thank for all and please also thank Chantel from me,
our fantastic guide."
Carolyn from South Africa - travelled to Madagascar (May 2009)
"Dear Amina, The trip was incredible - one of the best holidays I have ever had. I have been to Comores, Seychelles and Mauritius previously and in my opinion Madagascar was far more impressive.i think a lot of people have been put off by the political unrest but that has been very exaggerated by press and is not an issue at all. Thank you very much for your assistance."

Warren Watkins - travelled to Madagascar (April 2009)
"The trip was a fantastic success.  There were a few very small hiccups but these in no way detracted from a magnificent holiday, and only added to the trip, with unexpected services being added.  Thank you for arranging a dream come true. The highlights were the meals on board the yacht which were 10 star, the snorkelling, island hopping and the fishing. What a great honeymoon. As a last note, the skipper (Albert) and the cook and the deck hands were fantastic."

Tomek Rudomino - travelled to Madagascar (April 2009)
"Thank you for your assistance and help to make our tour in Madagascar. It was absolutely safe, without any problems on the way. The trip was a fantastic & great experience. Only in Ankarana we decided to change the camping for bungalows (+ payment as well). Food and accommodation in the north was excellent. Nosy Be was a little empty - in the Hotel 'les Boucaniers' we were alone, tour operators had stopped flights due to the situation in Antananarivo. For us it was better to have no people (apart from a few tourists from South Africa and France) because it was quiet and calm.  Even in the centre of Antananarivo it was safe. So, we will return to Nosy Be again soon as possible."

Gerlinde - travelled to Botswana (April 2009)
"I had a great time!I want to thank you for all your fantastic assistance! Everthing worked out very well. Also the information on the Visa etc...Thank you very much again! The tour guide did a great job as well. That was definitly not my final trip to Africa!"
Chris Meyers from Canada travelled from Namibia to Botswana (March 2009)
Hi Elana, I find myself thinking about Southern Africa allot and I hope all is well in your world!! Keith and I are still talking about our trip.....it was so GOOD!!  If we could figure out how to make a living in Namibia....we would move there!! I have attached a picture Jenman may be able to use in advertising....I've titled it, "Jump in...come with us.....explore". Thanks again for the important role you had in making our trip a reality. Cheers. Chris
Chris Meyers - travelled to Botswana and Namibia (April 2009)
"We had a good time. Namibia and the Okavango Delta have stolen our hearts.  Usually when we get home we are all ready to get back to work etc. This time.NO. We keep listening for the birds and looking for animals. The last day of our trip in Johannesburg was quite an insult. After minimal exposure to TV, radio, telephone and people, it was hard to take. I can understand why the lodge owners we spoke to didnt enjoy going to town.. There is a self sufficiency and independence they have by virtue of the distances some of them are from larger centers.  SWEET. One day we would like to sit on the other side of the "curtain" in the planes..in those comfy seatsbut will have to win the lottery first!!  On our way home, Keith was jammed between a very WARM, large lady and me on the other side.  He is very good natured and his comment was, "my..she is TOASTY".  10 hours of overheating and he was ready to be off the plane. Thank you once again Elana, for making the planning of this trip so enjoyable. It was good to hear your voice when we first arrived in Johannesburg and we were able to catch an earlier flight to Windhoek.  If you would like more information about our trip, please contact me."
Margarete Krug - travelled to South Africa (January 2009)
"At the beginning of this year one of your employees, Hilka Voges planned and conducted a round trip for my sister and me. I wanted to let you know, that we were very satisfied with the service. Everything worked out brilliantly and the tour assortment was diversified. Ms Voges dedicatedly took care of us also in Cape Town, and she was friendly and courteous all the time. We would love to come back to Jenman Safaris at a future time. Best Regards from rainy Germany."
Lisa Dveris - travelled to Tanzania (December 2008)
"I have just returned to Canada after three wonderful weeks in Tanzania.  The highlight for us was our six day safari, arranged by Jenman Safaris, with Kearsely Tours.  We did the northern circuit beginning on December 22, 2008. I feel compelled to write to you about our guide Kiponza. He was an exceptional guide.  From the moment he picked us up to begin our safari until we said goodbye at the Arusha airport we felt we were in the best hands that any safari could offer.  He was extremely knowledgeable, careful, kind and attentive.  His competence was clear and unsurpassed both as a guide and as a driver.  While we knew the safari would be an adventure we did not know how difficult some of the terrain would be.  Kiponza was an expert behind the wheel, reassuring us that we were in safe and competent hands. We trusted him to take care of us and keep us safe. He was attentive to detail, kept us on schedule and answered all of the questions we had about the geography, animals and parks that we toured in. He knew flora and fauna and history.  He took great care in ensuring that we saw everything there was to see, and, to his credit, we saw everything. We were so impressed with his knowledge and his ability to share it with us. As a result of him, we had an amazing experience. Competence and skill are really important for a guide and Kiponza has both of those qualities. He is also kind, trustworthy and has a good sense of humour. We spent a lot of time together, as people do on safari, and it was a real pleasure to be with him.  I hope many other people get to experience his skill and expertise."
Geoff Chandler - travelled to Madagascar (December 2008)
"Hi Rebecca. We had a lovely time and all arrangements were great. Thank you so much for all your work in this and we look forward to going again."

"I want to thank you for my travelling with you from Victoria Falls to Cape Town 6-25 dec -08! It was great and Chantell makes it all eaven better!
She wants / makes everybody to be happy and enjoy! I will for sure recommend my friends in Sweden to go with you! My best regards"
Claire Lewis - travelled to Madagascar (December 2008)
"Hi Nadia, Thanks for your email follow up and many best wishes of the season to you. We had a lovely time in Madagascar and really unwound. In response to feedback everything went like clockwork.  Our driver to/from Perinet was very nice and spoke good English, was prompt and looked after us well.  The guide hired in Andasibe was very good and knowledgeable and helped us to find lots of new birds as well as spot lemurs and insects, frogs, reptiles etc.  He was enthusiastic and pleasant to be with.  Vakona Lodge was good and although it rained a lot (to be expected) we enjoyed ourselves. Boraha Village was on the east coast and by far the nicest side of the island.  Beautiful water and cleaner than the west and far less developed although no beach."

"Hello Amina, I meant to get this back to you sooner. I had a great trip and experience. I think starting the tour from the north is the best way to go........... everyday was better and better, it felt like we built our days back to civilization.  I'm sure Jenman knows what a great asset Chantel is to the company.  She is attentive to everyone (even with all the different personalities -- I could not do her job), has amazing knowledge of history, which is great to learn about, beyond the trip locations. () --I really enjoyed the extra activities at the N'kwazi Lodge; traditional dance group, garden/village tour. Thank you again for all your help in coordinating everything. I would take another Jenman tour in a moment. Thank you."
Susan Jonson - travelled to Africa, Botswana, Zambia and Namibia (November 2008)
"Just to let you know that we had an excellent holiday Chantel was a fabulous guide.  She really made the whole experience. Our travelling companions were fine - how nice it was to be 4 in the Landcruiser. We enjoyed our week in Cape Town. A beautiful city. All the trips were very interesting. The only disappointment was the whale watching which was a washout - literally - but we can't hold the inclement weather against Jenman. Thank you for the organization and Merry Christmas!"
Peter and Anne White - travelled to Zambia, Botswana, Namibia, and South Africa (October 2008)
"My husband and I were on the October African Journey tour that your company arranged for the Ramblers association of U.K. Every day since coming back to Canada, I find that I spend some time thinking of the wonderful time we had.   A lot of the success and enjoyment had to do with the excellent driving and guiding of Tod Mentz and Charlotte McClughan. They are a great advertisement for your company. They were as attentive to our needs on the 26th day as they were on the first day. Nothing was ever too much trouble for them. The lunches that they prepared were delicious and they always chose interesting places to have these meals. They have a lot of knowledge of Zambia, Botswana, Namibia, and South Africa and were interesting when they shared their experiences. We would not hesitate to recommend your company to any friends who are considering going to Africa. We wish your company lots of success."

"Hello Nadia, we are really happy with the tour and very satisfied with it.
It was a good choice and loved all the places we've been to. Also our guide Hennie was great. The boat was great and so was the lodge, it is a really good place to spent some time, very nice people, great food, lovely location and good ameneties. Best regards"
Mona Finkelberg - travelled to Botswana (October 2008)
"I want to take this opportunity to thank you for the hard work and time you took with us planning our trip last month.  We had a wonderful time and your efforts on our behalf are greatly appreciated.  I know from the correspondence I read from my colleague that the group presented many challenges. I want to also thank you for the assignment of Thomas as our guide. He was stellar. It is the duty of a guide/Driver to know the terrain, know safety precautions and to be familiar with the flora and fauna of the area.  Of course, Thomas all this and more.  He escorted difficult clients and never lost his patience nor composure.  He was wise, patient and extremely knowledgeable.  He was a pleasure to have as the fifth member of our party.  Wherever we went, other tourists complemented us on our guide.  He always went the extra mile.  His disposition was always sunny. Having traveled the world with many guides over long periods I have never felt so positively about a guide. If Thomas is an exemplar of the guide that Jenman employs, it is certainly an agency which we would continue to do business with. Our trip though long, with much driving was made so much the better for having Thomas with us. I applaud Jenman and look forward to sending clients to you. Thank you Nadia. Thank you Thomas"

Nicole Emard - travelled to South Africa (September 2008)
"Hello Nadia! Dan and I got home last week and we can't thank you all enough for the most amazing trip of our life! Timbavati was amazing and we thoroughly enjoyed the staff and guests that were there with us. The cultural village walk was great and the meals were outstanding! Our accommodations were the best we had our entire stay and the game drives amazing. When we come back we'll want to do more of the private game reserve as that was phenomenal. Our thanks to you for your assistance and we'll definitely recommend your company to those who inquire. All our best and we'll be in touch when we can head back that way! Unfortunately, Cape Town was not too great due to the weather so we definitely want to come back. All my best, Nicole"
Sarah Nunn - travelled to Botswana (september 2008)
"Hi Hilka, It was all perfect! Having trouble settling back into my routine now (not that my job is very routine but anything where I'm not waking up in a tent, watching stunning sunrises and having a brilliant day with fantastic company just seems so bland). I have sent Jenman and you a letter saying thank you, so you should get that this week I hope. Kind regards"
Jessica & Wesley - travelled to Botswana (September 2008)
"The trip was perfect!! Now the problem is settling back into my everyday routine. Life at the moment seems bland, as I no longer wake up in a tented camp, watch breathe taking sunrises or have fantastic days filled with brilliant company. Many thanks to the Jenman team for setting up such a brilliant holiday filled with the best memories."

"Thank you for asking about our trip. We even got our complete luggage back, even though we had to transfer it to London. Apparently, we were lucky on our outbound flight, because Jan said that in Livingstone the luggage gets lost frequently! We liked our tour very much. The whole trip was wonderful and the arrangements as well as Jan were superb. And I enjoyed being a small group, if there were more people I wouldnt have had so much fun. We only had one moment of shock, when we arrived at Livingstone and the driver from Safpar wasnt there as previously arranged to meet us. A bunch of men then claimed that that the man from Safpar would never wait that long for us and that we were out of luck. They then informed us that the Safpar contact number was wrong and they tried to insist on driving us! Finally, a very nice man from a organization at the airport assisted us in getting our car from Safpar. That was very kind of him! The accommodation was very nice; the tents were great as well. Most of the camping sites were clean, except for two, where not everything worked there well. But that was ok. Jan was guiding us very well. We felt safe and secure all the time. Its hard to tell, what we liked best, because we had so many impressions during that trip. ..Landscapes, animals, people... The Mokoro-Trip was a highlight for me, the animals sightings as well. We saw lots of elephants (even one desert elephant), buffaloes, crocodiles, hippos, rhinos, springboks, eagles, giraffes...but unfortunately only one cat (a lioness). It cant be helped. But we would have loved to see a pride of lions, or a leopard, or even a cheetah. Maybe next time we are luckier, I think we will be travelling with you again soon! The Namib-desert was wonderful, too. And I also liked Damaraland and the rock paintings and Brandberg very much.
The accomodation in Cape Town was sensational. Beautifully situated, everybody was friendly, great breakfasts and it was absolutely clean. It was a great finish to our trip. Unfortunately only for just for two days, but anyway...
That is also a place where we have to came back to! Thank you very much again for your kind advice and nice emails. Kind regards from cold Bavaria"
Ray Neuman - travelled to Cape Town and Victoria Falls (September 2008)
"The small group and ur guide made the safari excellent. We enjoyed every day and Gecko Bush Camp at the end of the trip was a very pleasant surprise. We saw all what we wanted and more!!! Thank you!"
Bert Alberts - travelled to Botswana (September 2008)
Here is just a short message from us.We are back home since yesterday, and had a good journey back home. Our holiday was perfectly organized, we had a nice group and Thomas is really an excellent guide and driver. Believe me we had many guides and drivers during other trips, but Thomas is certainly one of the best.It seems Jenman is a well respected and known organization in the Africa region. Thanks for helping us out on the ticket issue. Thomas asked us during the trip to write down our flights so that he could reconfirm the bookings. When writing down the dates I found out that the flight from Livingstone to Joburg was booked one day too late. How it is possible I havent found this out earlier I really dont know, I think I checked the tickets many times but overlooked the date. So many thanks for changing the date.
Pop Minnaar - travelled to Madagascar (September 2008)
This was an experience of a lifetime. Everything was well organized. We had a delay of 2 hours at O R Tambo. From there on everything went smoothly. We are considering another trip to the eastern part of Madagascar.
At the moment we plan to go to Botswana next year and there after to Malawi. Last year we went on a 5 week safari through Botswana, Zambia, Tanzania, Malawi and Mozambique. There are always places we want to explore again. We bought land in Mozambique and plan to move there permanently.
But, thank you again for this fantastic experience. We will definitely contact you again for another trip.

"Thanks for all your help in arranging the trip.We had a fabulous time in Madagascar. We had no problems, transfers went smoothly, good, the driver and guides were great, and the accommodation was generally good. (The Hotel Pavillion and Hotel de la Plage were especially beautiful.)"
Carolina Castellanos - travelled to Cape Town & Victoria Falls (August 2008)
My daughter and I recently completed a 21 day trip from Cape Town to Victoria Falls with Jenman African Safaris. It was an amazing and beautiful experience that exceeded all of our expectations and cannot be easily described. Our 8 travel companions were fantastic, there was not one day when we did not laugh and truly enjoyed ourselves, and we are already making plans for future travel with these newly made friends. Everything was extremely well organized and things went as planned along our long route, with great selection of campsites and lodges and delicious meals that one could not have imagined could be prepared by a campfire. Of course, having a great guide is what made a difference. Mike is extremely knowledgeable and has a love for the area that is contagious. Thumbs up for Jenman, for keeping their groups small, for a well-planned route, for carefully selected sites, and for all the people who work there. Working with them was a pleasure, they were extremely helpful from the minute we started planning our trip, with all our questions, getting birthdays organized and all their extraordinary efforts in helping us with visas, logistics, etc. We would highly recommend them
"I just wanted to write to thank you for all your hard work and dedication in setting up our trip to southern Africa. We are particularly grateful for all you did to get us our second visas for Namibia, I can just imagine how time consuming it must have been. Our trip was an amazing and truly enjoyable experience, with a fantastic group of people, and things went as planned with only a few, non important glitches.but it would not have been Africa had we not had those. Please thank everybody at Jenman for us, we would highly recommend you to all our friends who plan to visit Africa."
Monika Huppi - travelled to Mozambique (August 2008)
"I wanted to thank you for the fantastic Indian Ocean - Mozambique Family Safari that you put together for us in August. We had an absolutely fabulous time! The organization was seemless, the places we visited a wonderful combination of wildlife and beaches and the accommodations a great combination of camping, cabins and hotels/lodges (and in a perfect series as well, every time I was getting tired of Mosquitoes or communal bathrooms, we arrived at a beautiful lodge or hotel.....). Hennie was a terrific guide, not to mention a fantastic cook and much adored by our kids. Overall, we had an absolutely wonderful time and we literally talk about it daily. Certainly a vacation that we will remember for ever. So, let me simply say "thank you" for putting together such a great trip for us and a thousand thanks to Hennie for having made our vacation so special!"
Ian Scott - travelled to Madagascar (August 2008)
"Everything was fantastic thank-you! We absolutely loved Madagascar and will definitely be going back sometime. We were pleasantly surprised to spend a day in the Tanikely Marine reserve; we didnt know that was on the itinerary and it was a real highlight!"
Per Joachim Hoisaet (Agent) - Clients travelled to Africa (July & August 2008)
"I have heard from the clients: Mr and Mrs Nielsen - July - They experienced some trouble with lost luggage in Lusaka and cancelled flight on the way back so they spend an extra night in Lusaka at Holiday Inn. None of this is our fault and they really appreciated all of our arrangements.
Transfers were punctual, correct vehicles etc. He even tried a heliflight over the Victoria Falls. Chobe Safari Lodge was the most perfect place and very beautiful.
Mr and Mrs Sietam - august - everything worked out fine - transfers were punctual and professional and only one thing went a bit wrong. They had to stay at the Kapama River Lodge but switched to the Kapama Buffalo since they were very disappointed and felt the River Lodge was in a city (?) and a building site. I have been in the area many times but never visited Kapama River Lodge and I am therefore not sure how things look there except from the website which is very beautiful. However the staff were very very professional and moved them right away to another lodge and thereafter they had no complaints at all. They were very enthusiastic for all the arrangements and experiences they had."
Agnese Pana - travelled to Botswana (July 2008)
"The tour I have recently taken part in was absolutely stunning:
rich in emotions, colours and sounds which are still in my heart.
A special thank to Amina, who saved my life by promptly warning me
the carrier I booked the flight with (by my own), went bankrupt in the meatime, and to Chantel, whose superb "lasagne" I will never forget..."
"The trip was fantastic, and I enjoyed a lot every single aspect of it:
the nature, the people, the organization, everything was up to my
(huge) expectations. Everything you had arranged for me (transfers, hotel bookings, ect) was perfectly in order and run very smoothly. I wrote down some very positive comments on the form I was given at the end of the tour, about Jenman Safaris, with a special mention to you, and the excellent support you provided me with."
Paul (Agent) - Client travelled to Namibia (July 2008)
"The Voogt Family is back in Holland for some time now. I spoke with them by phone the day after they arrived back. They loved the trip and the guide. I wanna thank you for everything you did to make this trip to what it was. And please also thank the guide. It was a pleasure to work on this trip together. Kind regards"
Miguel Alvarado - travelled to Kilimanjaro (July 2008)
"Excellent travel, really well organized, good work and service from Bernelle to us."
Stefanie Ilg - travelled to Swakopmund and Victoria Falls (July 2008)
Thanks for your mail. Indeed the trip was wonderful. It was a great experience and I don't want to miss it. Our guide was a good guy, a good driver and cook and it was fun with him. The White Lady wasn't so impressive so therefore you could skip that one in this tour and therefore spend more time in the Okawango Delta or at the Chobe river in order to see more wildlife. But that's just my opinion. Perhaps others like the white lady. All camping sites and lodges have been good. So no reason to change something there. I enjoyed travelling in a small group. We often saw busses with big groups and I was really happy not to belong to such a group. So keep on offering travels in small groups please. () Thanks again for your help! All the best
Kevin Pazaski - travelled to Botswana (July 2008)
"Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. I was traveling last week! We had a fantastic time on the safari.  No major issues, nobody got sick, hurt, etc.  Gerard did a great job as our guide.  Very knowledgeable about the area, animals, local customs.  In addition, a great cook. ()We wanted to add that all the places we stayed were amazing.  From the en suite tents and chalets, each well maintained and very clean.  Great choices!!Again thank you for your help and please contact me if you have questions.Best regards"
Madeleine Calitz - travelled to Madagascar (July 2008)
"The dhow was great, our guide (Angelot) looked after us really well.   It was so relaxing not having to think what to do next, everything went as planned.  The only problem I had was that my luggage did not arrive, so I had a 2 week holiday in borrowed swimming gear, t-shirts and sarongs.
Even so, a holiday to remember.  We did some great snorkeling around Nose Tanikely, saw dolphins, turtles and  lemurs.
Thanks again for all your help in making this a memorable and enjoyable trip."

"We returned home safe and sound after a wonderful adventure to Madagascar. What a trip. It was a perfect blend of seeing a totally different culture with seeing beautiful scenery plus animals (the lemur) that are endemic to Madagascar. We felt very cared for there."
Frank Gaffney - travelled to Botswana (June 2008)
I am once more amazed, neigh, gob smacked by the depth and breath of your knowledge and the speed of your reply. I want you to stand up NOW and take a bow...oh go on, just do it! You can say it's for a mad Irishman. And you have my full permission to show this e-mail to your boss and tell him I think you deserve a very large raise in pay or at least very large bonus. (just as soon as your cheque arrives!)
Seriously (if it's possible), thank you so much for your prompt attention to my numerous queries, and I am going to throw in one more little one. We are rather curious to know who our fellow travelers will be. If you could possibly let us know the age profiles and perhaps the nationalities of our new friends we would be grateful. It's not really important, we are just curious. Last year we were on tour with Drifters in South Africa for three weeks with a group of eight people including us and we all got on very well with absolutely no friction at all. So naturally we were wondering about this year.

"
The Jenman Safari through Botswana was really great. We really liked the itinerary and also the chosen accommodation. Our wish to find out more about Botswanas wildlife came true in the different National Parks especially the boat cruise on the Chobe River was excellent.
Many greetings from Vienne"
Gail George - travelled to Botswana (June 2008)
"We are back and well. We had a fabulous and interesting trip. Then on to the Jenman Safari. What a great experience. I thought the accommodations exceeded our expectations. We have about 1200 pictures and saw some amazing animals, scenery and people. I would highly recommend this trip for the price. Or guide was great (Mike Miles). I sang your praises to al. Your trip planning was excellent and all our connections went well. It is a challenge to get the currency situation planned for and get clear info regarding visas but we made it all work. Thank you again for helping us make this a trip of a life time."

"I just wanted to write and thank you for all your efforts to bring this trip together. I had a wonderful time. Just what I needed and am sure will need again! Really appreciated. Best wishes"
Jenny - travelled to South Africa (May 2008)
"I just wanted to say thank you for a fantastic time in South Africa, just wished I had more time as the place was amazing. It has given me a really good insight into the way you operate at Jenman and I have to say I was very impressed by the level of service we received. It was great to see all the different style of accommodation you can create and the knowledge of Chantal out guide who was brilliant at explaining everything with so much passion. I will miss her bush talk greatly. I will defiantly be recommending Jenmans to all our clients as I no they will be receiving the best service and will come back as touched by the experience as I was. It has also given me a passion of Africa to pass on to our clients also now knowing the way it is run gives me the chance to pass all styles on to my client and creating the best option for them. I am now feeling very refreshed and ready sell sell sell!
Thanks again for a fantastic experience. I will look forward to working closely with Jenman in the future. Keep up the good work."
Elken Schneider - travelled to Botswana (May 2008)
"Many thanks for your email and checking if our safari went alright. Our safari with Chantal was really great, including the accommodation and the tented camps a really good choice. But of course the most amazing thing was the wildlife we even saw lions!! Please can you tell me what other trips Chantal is doing in September and October? I would like to travel with her again."
Andreas Batlogg - travelled to Botswana (May 2008)
"As a 'West-Austrian', Im normally not used to go into superlatives.
But this trip is really a highlight in our life. Not low budget, but worth every single cent!
From the arrangements, the accommodation, the equipment, to the guide
(Todd, you are the best!) there is only one word, perfect. We also were very lucky with our companions, nice people from Australia,
US and GB. After a short time, talking in English, was not the problem.
Prior to the trip, we thought the long driving could be demanding, it
was so easy. There was so much to see during the day, not boring at all, impressions all the time.
We got so many informations from Todd about the country, nature and culture.
He brought us together with the local people in a wonderful manner.
So much and beautiful impressions, unforgettable!
Another input were the excellent meals, he prepared for us.
A real magician in his bush kitchen. All in all we come back, to Africa and to Jenman."
"Thanks again. From 2nd to 18th April 2008 we had the pleasure to travel through Botswana with Jenman Safaris and your (our) guide Todd Mentz.
It was a such wonderful experience and we would say thanks for that.
The journey and esp. the arrangements were perfect.
As Todd told us, Wiebke Priilaid was mainly responsible for that.
Hey, Wiebke, you did a brilliant job! Thanks for that, very much, too. Within the next two years, we plan to travel to Madagascar and Jenman will be our favorite for that."
Maxime Adams - travelled to Botswana (May 2008)
"Firstly may I say a huge thank you for the opportunity to have travelled on our recent trip with Hennie. After the day 3, I had run out of adjectives to explain the day/trip/adventure. The group had such a great time, I have come away with yet more wonderful memories of Africa along with some new friends from all over the world.
Our days were just perfect; to start with hot water boiling when we arrived at the campsite for breakfast to wonderfully cooked meals in the evening (better than a lot of restaurants I have been to)
We established such a great rapport amongst the group, from washing dishes, to pushing the vehicle out of water/sand.
Now for the countries, Zambia great with Victoria Falls and our cruise on the Zambezi
Botswana is magic, the landscape/people/animals and the birds were superb (to say the least)
Namibia enough for me now to know I want to go back and explore even more of this country.
Again thank you so much, i look forward to being able to continue to sell your product here in Australia."

Kathrin - travelled to Botswana (May 2008)
"This journey was absolutely incredible and the country really beautiful. It was a lot of traveling but therefore we really saw a lot. Unfortunately we were not that lucky when Game viewing but the landscape alone made up for it. I imaged the Okavango Delta to be totally different. Also the Nxai Pans were breathtaking and Hennie of course is an excellent guide (...)
I am already thinking about where to go next year"
Steffi Nagel- travelled to South Africa (May 2008)
Many thanks that I was allowed to join you on this safari. Everything worked very well and weve had a great time. Chantal is a really great guide and she took care of us very well.
I already knew the vehicle and the tents, however, I really like that you now use the bigger tents. Even me with my height, have no problems standing upright in the tent. The new vehicle with the pop-up roof is amazing ()Otherwise the equipment of your tours is really great nothing negative to comment, everything top quality and working.
The itinerary as well was really great. A good mix of all sorts of accommodation; from simple camping to private lodges that gave us a good insight about the standard of accommodation you offer
Elke - travelled to Botswana (May 2008)
"On the 14th May 2008 we started our 14-day Botswana Safari a journey for the soul. The organization of Jenman Safaris before the trip didnt leave any questions open. Hennie, our guide, made this journey 100% enjoyable. His knowledge about Flora and Faune, his ability to be flexible, also in adventurous situations, and of course is excellent cooking abilities made this trip to one of the best safaris, I have ever done in Africa.
The group size, the good value for money, excellent campsites and responsible actions of all travelers Jenman African Safaris makes Jenman Safaris a great example for the industry."
Eva Cuervas Boada - travelled to Madagascar (April 2008)
"Simply fantastic. I have enjoyed both, the country and your organization, beautiful beaches at north with incredible seafloor. You don't know how many photos of turtles, fishes, corals... I have done...And, obviously, one thousand lemurs too...
On the other hand, the trip company, that as always, is a very important part to get that the people enjoy the trip. Patty is a lovely person, she has got to join everybody that was on the trip. And for this reason we have learned Jenman Safaris organization, we have rested and we have laughed a lot, all in accurate measure.
Thank you very much for the opportunity of joining your fam trip and to know a little bit the big Madagascar."
Ronan Rahanan - travelled to South Africa (April 2008)
"I thought I'd drop you a short note to thank you for organising the trip. We had a fantastic experience: the organisation was excellent, the weather was perfect and we saw all the animals we could have expected to see. I would have no hesitation in recommending Jenman to anyone who asks about and African Safari. I'm already looking forward to my next adventure!! Thank you also for the birthday cake and bottle of champagne: it was much appreciated :)"
Ronan went on our Kruger Walking Safari.
Marie McCrae - travelled to Madagascar (April 2008)
"Thanks for your lovely mail and all the good things you say. There are so many thank yous to be said, to you and Jenman Safaris for the opportunity to do the FAM trip and to have met all those wonderful people, especially you. I had an absolutely marvelous time and am all fired up with enthusiasm."
Andre & Sumari travelled to Madagascar (March 2008)
We had a lovely time,  the dhow trip was great food was excellent , Mohameds bungalows on the beach and at Russian bay are really great. ,  weather hot & humid.  Rain didnt bother us to much, actually it was rather welcome just to cool things down and get out of the sun for a day.
The alternative was most welcome if you consider we would have been wet if we stayed in the tents.   Sakatia was also great , we had Johns lunch on the beach which was great (..) but unfortunately he didnt tell us about the sand fleas.
We had an absolutely GREAT holiday. Great destination. Thanks for all your assistance
Jody - travelled to Cape Town & Namibia (March 2008)
"Thanks for your e-mail. My mum and I were very happy with the safari Jenman gave us. It really was everything we had hoped for!
I'm attaching a few photos for you, I couldn't choose just one!
I love the wildlife and so I was happy to get a nice photo of a zebra. The lion was a nice find. We heard him roaring all night while we were in Etosha so we got up extra early and were rewarded with this sight.
A new experience for me was the Himba village. The children are so beautiful and friendly; they were so willing to climb all over me!
The shot of the sunrise was taken in the Okavango Delta- a peaceful place!"
Walter Friesen - travelled to Tanzania (February 2008)
We have now returned from our safari and I wanted to personally and
directly thank you for the work you all did to make this safari possible
for us. Our experience was very good and all the services were carried out
without any problems or difficulties at all during the safari.  Your
service was excellent and you would certainly be given our vote of
confidence for any such safari to be done in the area.  Great continuity of
service, a very knowledgeable driver guide and above all it was possible to
see the animals and make some great long lasting photos of the whole trip.
The visit to the Rifiji River camp was also an interesting and adventurous
experience. It was enjoyed for its closeness to the nature in the area, the
boat trips with the many birds, hippos and other water life, and the land
tours of the area.  This is a special place and hopefully it and its
program will continue, as it is, to let more people see this natural setting.
A job well done;
Walter Friesen & friends went on the Northern and Southern Tanzania Safari
Ingrida Ludzina- travelled to South Africa (February 2008)
"The trip was really great. Now I am in love with AFRICA. Thank you very much for all that you did. I had a present for you, but as I didnt see you I decided to send it to you by post :) I have too many emotions that I just can not explain now. I really, really enjoyed everything to the fullest." Ingrida first travelled to the Victoria Falls for a few days and then on a World in one Country Safari, ending in Cape Town.
Jean-Claude and Josiane Fusat- travelled to South Africa (February 2008)
"This mail is just to thank you one more time for the trip you organized for us.
Everything was so nice, hotels and guest houses also nice, CapeTown, Franschhoek, Vic Falls, and Kruger Park, ''super of super'', the people were also nice. One comment, Blyde River Canyon, little bit disappointing. We are also disappointed to not have seen you.So, our vacation was amazing, a visit to recommend. Thanks again.Hope we'll re-contact you for another trip."
Kathrina- travelled to South Africa (January 2008)
In January 2008 my son and me were in Kruger National Park. We visited two different areas: Olifant Restcamp und Sabie Restcamp. We spent 5 unforgettable days! We totally could concentrate to explore the park with all its wildlife and breathtaking scenery. The organisation of our trip was really excellent everything went so well.
Murray just came back from a trip to Cape Town with Jenman African Safaris (June 2011)

Monika Dieter - travelled to Madagascar (December 2007)
"There was enough time for souvenir shopping on our last day in Tana - I needed to stop myself from buying too much; not surprising for a woman!
After returning back home, I have to say: Madagascar blew my mind; it's so different. It's not Europe, it's not Africa, it's not Asia; it's somehow a mix of everything but still one of the least-developed countries. I loved it but must say to every traveller who is planning to go: travel with an open mind and an open heart! People are poor but happy and they try to make us travellers feel as welcome and comfortable as possible, with everything they own. Whatever expectations you may have, whatever itinerary or programme you may have read, leave everything behind at home and experience Madagascar the way it is - pure and unspoilt!"
Mia Jones - travelled to Madagascar (December 2007)
"Ile aux Nattes and St Marie were the closest vision of paradise I've ever seen. The beaches were long and quiet, and the local people were so friendly. La Libertalia (St Marie) was particularly relaxing, with hammocks between palm trees, and a long jetty with sun loungers at the end where you could snorkel and climb onto a rock. The beach chalets were quite simple but had everything we needed, and they were just two metres to the turquoise sea! I particularly enjoyed hiring a bike for the day and cycling through the village."

"
After travelling through dry landscape for a while, starting to feel the strain of travelling, we were ready for the beach. A few days later we arrived at a paradise-like beach in Ifaty, just north of Tulear. Our accommodation in Le Paradisier was better than ever expected! A blue pool, big restaurant, with a lounge area on the terrace and our bungalows, right at the beach. What a treat after long travelling!!"
Brink Family - travelled to Madagascar (November 2007)
"Mada, I thought gave one the essence of basic and simple travelling, whilst feeling almost exclusive and fortunate at the same time. One felt that comparing certain aspects of one highlight or place of interest in Mada to that of another in a more travelled or tourist-developed area or country, made one feel similar to that of a pioneer. That to me in itself was a highlight and a sense of being unrivalled anywhere else. Infrastructure was raw and rugged. The beauty was stark and underdeveloped in the most positive sense. I enjoyed the type of travelling that was as much active as interactive. The Malagashe folk are in general, honest, friendly and welcoming people, and should I be mistaken, as hosts, they certainly do not bestow the feeling of insecurity and scepticism toward their guests."
Tailormade Tour - travelled to Southern Africa (November 2007)
"Marius has been the perfect guide and driver and very comfortable to be with. Most helpful and knowledgeable of each area each day. We have thoroughly enjoyed his company and the choice of Guest Houses each evening. We have made good times every day and are so pleased we chose Jenman Safaris. I echo the sentiments experienced above about Marius. His driving has been excellent and he has been prepared to be flexible when required. He has been able to adapt to the vagaries and clientele. The tour itself had been very great. There has been variety in accommodation and activity. Overall, I am completely satisfied with the value for money presented in this tour and would recommend it to others. We endorse the sentiments stated above. In particular we appreciated the lengths that Marius went to ensure that we saw as much as possible and that all our need were met."
Mrs & Mr Timbavati - travelled to Southern Africa (November 2007)
"We had a wonderful trip and have to admit that we were positively surprised. Why is that? you will probably ask.South Africa is beautiful, the weather is great and winter time is just as ideal as summer time in order to see game. No one can deny that. And those are already great conditions. Surely it helped that our group only consisted of 8 persons. Of course this can result in a problem if people dont get along with each other. But we were lucky enough as different as we all were - to all hit it off quite well and we had a great time together. What we, as a family with 3 children between 7 and 13, really liked was the Timbavati Camp. We felt catered for perfectly. This was due to the camp- management- team, particularly the managers Peter and Rob. They took care of us for the entire time in a very polite way. And they fulfilled all our wishes, childrens as well as adults. We can highly recommend to spend 2 weeks there. Peter and Rob dont have any problems to arrange the programme according to everyones desires. We had time- outs when we wanted and we were never bored. We really enjoyed the two weeks at that location. You can really dive into it instead of just having the country movie-like pass you (which also has its charm). You can really feel a touch of here and now in Africa.
We went on Bushwalks in KNP, had surprise- sundowners and went on horse rides in the neighbouring reserve. Also the accommodation was nice, I think. Everything was a bit rustic and not the very latest, but it all worked. In other words: the luxury was little enough, so you could really get a feeling of wilderness (including Warthogs in front of our door and a Leopard in the camp once) without having it bother you. In my opinion the Timbavati- Camp is a real undiscovered hideaway and I can highly recommend it.
Thats not all: everything wouldnt have worked out as perfectly, if we hadnt had Jasmin as our guide. She is a guide like I have never met one before. She didnt only see it as a job but also as a pleasure for herself. She has an incredible amount of knowledge about South Africa and backgrounds (animals, country and people) and also impart her knowledge to the children in a great manner. Actually, in the end she seemed to be one of us and not like a guide doing his/her job. Especially at the end of our trip, when I got to Cape Town, we had to realize that when we had a guide from a local tour company they were as different as day and night. Once again back to the Timbavati: our night drives and excursions in the Kruger National Park were guided by a local ranger (Martin), who has worked there for 15 years. What he tracked down during the morning drives in the open vehicle (it was chilly, once we had 3 degrees) during those two weeks was amazing! We could regularly compare that to the experiences of the other guests (who usually were only there for 3 or 4 days) and our guide absolutely outshone all the others. We didnt only get to see the Big 5 but also other animals like birds, snakes and once a cheetah family, which lay on the gravel, before they started their hunt in front of our eyes. On the last day he tracked down one of the new magnificent 14 elephants, which he apparently hadnt seen before himself.
Conclusion: Timbavati with Peter/Rob absolutely extraordinary, it couldnt get better than Jasmin and the ranger Martin was just the cheery on top."

Dagi and Everett - travelled to Southern Africa (November 2007)
"Just a note before the excitement wears down. We had an incredible adventure on the trip through Southern Africa. We covered a lot of kilometers but we experienced so much variety. Just when we had a very long hot day in the vehicle, the lodge at the end of the day was delightful. The lodge staff was always very accommodating. The trip crisscrossing the countries gave us a lot of insight to how people live, what the countryside looks like, wild animals on the side of the road as we see cattle at home. The vehicle was comfortable. Our fondest memory is the day with the Bushmen and Arno the hunt, the lessons on survival and the night around their campfire. Another day there would have given us an opportunity to learn more about their lives and maybe learn their craft. Our Himba experience was equally as amazing. It was like putting ourselves into the pictures in National Geographic. The occasional days on the water made the dry hot days more tolerable. Our best game drive was the trip between Moremi Park and Chobe along the river. We saw everything in its natural daily activity. Sure we would have liked to stay at Etosha Park longer so that we could spend more time at the water holes and maybe another day or two on the coast at Swakopmund but we had an amazing journey. Our quest on a holiday is to learn something and we learned a lot. Rick was very knowledgeable about the wildlife and very respectful of their space and yet he gave us all equal opportunity to see and photograph for as long as we wanted. We went on an elephant ride at Thornbush Lodge the day before we left on Safari and would recommend that to be part of the trip. Another thought would be to add a little more shopping time for us women folk we have to look at a lot of things before we can decide what to bring home we could have learned a little more about what their talents are and what they do a little more culture, a little more music to make a complete picture.
Our time in Soweto after the Safari was good. The whole history of that area is overwhelming. We want to thank you for an adventure that was bigger than the words on the page that described it in the brochure. If you werent so far away, and the costs so great, we would be back tomorrow to learn and see more of Africa."

1000 Views of Madagascar Our clients have returned from their trip! They loved the tour!! Everything was fabulous! "There may not be any treasures left on St. Marie, but just being in Madagascar is a treasure itself. The thing that stood out most for me was the fact that it was still so untouched. After visiting many destinations around the world I found it totally exhilarating to be in a country where you are not hounded by the locals to come and take a look in their shops or eat in their restaurants. You can walk the streets without being tugged on or gawked at. The people are friendly and helpful but in a very quiet way. I found Antananarivo to be totally refreshing, not in terms of clean air but the hustle and bustle, noises, smells and energy of a third world city, with no traffic lights!! It was a break from our stark, sterile western cities, but also makes you appreciate the organisation we have back home. The highlight for me was Ile St. Marie, an absolute gem off the north-east coast of Madagascar. Untouched, pristine, everything I imagined a tropical island to be. I cant get over how blue the water was, fringed by soft white sandy beaches and lush green vegetation. AMAZING!!! The  accommodation on the beach was outstanding and Im already thinking of when I can go back there, next time to stay longer and explore St. Marie on a scooter."
Ivonne Kruger - travelled to Cape Town (October 2007)
"Our holidays were lovely and everything went like planned! We had a great group and a wonderful guide and we all got a long very well! The tents, mattresses and the sleeping bags were alright. We have seen and experienced a lot, but we were especially impressed by the animals. Cape  Town was lovely as well, and the Cape Poaradise Lodge gorgeous! Finally, we have spent two wonderful days there! All in all it was a great holiday not to be forgotten soon."

"I keep thinking about our great trip to Africa last year. And its now exactly one year since we set off from Livingstone. Here are a couple of pictures from this day last year. If I remain motivated, Ill send a new picture every day or so, as a reminder of where we were a year ago. " To read more about this comment visit our blog.

"The tour was absolutely fabulous; the group- and that is very important great. Everyone liked the arrangement of the tour, surely you could spend a little bit more time here and there, but as we all know it is not possible because then there would be other things which we wouldnt get to see. Ronette has really tried hard in order to make the holiday as comfortable as possible for us."

"We really enjoyed our honeymoon in Cape Town and Victoria falls thanks to Hilka at Jenman Safaris. Not only was Hilka extremely helpful with planning considerations, but also available throughout our entire trip for on the spot questions and additional advice. We'll definitely look to book with Hilka and Jenman again in the future."

Susie - travelled to Madagascar (August 2007)
"We had a lovely holiday and I caught my first Sailfish! 40kg! Thank you for everything!!On the Yacht: The skipper knew about 5% English. The Chef 10%. It was quite difficult communicating but we did with lots of hand signals and they understood "fishing" very well. Our chef was great and we caught lots of fish for them to prepare for us. We left them with about 2 months supply of dried fish! They love us! The deck hand was also great. They are very friendly and extremely helpful. The skipper took us to beautiful snorkelling spots and to stunning islands. He knows his fishing spots and fish very very well. Like I said, we had a wonderful holiday and we all came back relaxed (island style) and happy. Thank you very much for all your organising! We would love to go back in 3/4 years time. Next year we'll do Malawi so I'll be in touch!"

"It is now more than 2 weeks I have to send you this e-mail, but we were so busy here in our travel agency...The family Michiels has came back from South Africa totally enchanting with its travel. Everything was perfect, accomodations, organisation, sites and parks they have visited,... So I would like to really thank you for your collaboration! And I really hope I will come back soon to you with a new request."

"We definitely had a great time in the Safari and have been doing well. Hennie was very informative a guide and a relaxed guy - I can highly recommend him. I'm also happy we saw the leopard(s) - too bad we missed the cheeta. We will definitely consider you first if we are to come back to Africa
on a safari."
Kathie Yoewell - travelled to Zimbabwe (August 2007)
"I've just got back from the best trip I've ever had to Southern Africa and just have to mail and thank you for all the organization that you did for me at such short notice. Everything ran like clockwork once I managed to get to Africa.....in fact the only thing that went wrong was my end and I managed to miss my flight to Jo'burg because the underground was suspended! However, I managed to transfer onto the late SAA flight and just managed to catch the flight to Livingstone, so it wasn't too serious. The Lion Encounter in Zimbabwe was amazing and so worth the 55 dollars visa fee. It went like clockwork and stroking lions in the wild was such a brilliant start to the tour. The safari itself was incredible and Hennie was simply terrific....great fun, great cook and soknowledgeable about his subject. I've been to Southern Africa several times previously but this was by far the best experience yet. So thanks again for all your hard work in organizing my late booking. I'm already planning a tailor-made trip with some friends for hopefully next year and we will certainly be using Jenman once we've sorted ourselves out about destinations and dates."
Matteo Messa - travelled to South Africa (August 2007)
"Even for people like us,used to organize holidays by ourselves, your support and organization was very important: even just per mail and from 10.000 km far away! You helped us to enjoy great days and unique places."
Bobbi & Garnet Marshall - travelled to Botswana (August 2007)
"Just a note to thank you for making the arrangements for our trip to Botswana and particularly for the stays at Nata Lodge, Toro Camping site and Camp Kwando. The accommodation and meals at Nata were excellent, and it was a very restful break after the initial long drive from Jhb. If we were to do it again, I would probably book the afternoon excursion to the bird sanctuary rather than the morning one in winter as it was really too cold to be travelling in an open vehicle. However the site of thousands of colourful Flamingos in that desolate landscape was worth the chill! The Toro camp site near Chobe had individual ablution facilities for each site and plenty of hot water. The game drive and sunset cruise which you booked for us were really worth while and we were unbelievably fortunate to see leopard with its kill which it had dragged up into a tree. By far the best service we received was at Camp Kwando. We had run very low on petrol, not realising how unreliable supplies were, and Romana arranged to collect 20 litres of fuel for us on a trip to Katima Mulilo which meant that we wouldn't have to wait 3 or 4 days for the local garage to receive supplies. As we had to delay our journey by an extra day, she was kind enough to allow us to keep our accommodation even though they were almost fully booked. Furthermore, our first choice had been to camp there but as their campsite was already fully booked, they allowed us to do our own cooking in the campsite while our accommodation was in the tented chalets - the best of both worlds! We had one dinner and one breakfast in the Camp Kwando restaurant. The dinner was excellent and so well presented by Lester, the chef. We were very impressed. Eli Nel was our guide on the sunset cruise and not only was he very knowledgable about the birds, but he went out of his way togivethe advicewe needed with routes into the Madumo Reserve which would be suitable for our 4x2 vehicle and offered to come to our assistance if we should find ourselves sand-bound. The camp site was grassed, well-shaded by trees and very well maintained, the pool was sparkling and I understand that they are planning to erect more ablution facilities. Thereafter, we were on our own as far as finding accommodation was concerned, which made us very aware of the value of having someone knowledgable to to advise on bookings! ().We spent our last night at Kwa Nokeng which is at Martins Drift on the Bots/SA border. It was a delightful surprise to find such an oasis at that busy intersection. Although the noise of the traffic at the border could be heard, the two-bedroom chalet (which was very well appointed) looked onto the Limpopo and, while we were not lucky enough to see the hippos which frequent that part of the river, we did see a troop of baboons, four buck which sauntered practically past our door, mongooses and countless fantastic birds. I thought I should just mention the Popa Falls Campsite where we stopped for lunch one day. It has to be the cleanest and best-appointed campsite we have ever seen. "Falls" is probably a misnomer as it is really just a stream running over rocks, but the setting is very appealling, they havemade themost of it without spoiling itand we found the standard of management exemplary. Thanks once agin for all your help in arranging a trip which we have been looking forward to for years and which we enjoyed enormously. Hope that this feedback may be of some use to you."
Shelley Conrad - travelled to Africa (July 2007)
"The Great Trans African Lodge Safari was the perfect itinerary for my trip to Africa, blending cultural and wildlife experiences in a variety of habitats. Whether it was clapping my hands with young children at church or getting my face painted by the Himba, I felt connected with the people I encountered throughout my 22 day expedition. Not only that the sheer number of birds, animals and critters, took my breath away (literally). Lizards arent supposed to be in the sink!Who could forget the bull elephant taking a mud bath just steps from our open vehicle (who knew a big head could fit in such a tiny hole) or the zebra who couldnt stop posing for us? Radio Botswana came through for us; alas, he couldnt reach the elusive leopard. I had a mental picture of what I find in Africa before I arrived and I was overjoyed to see it come to fruition. I hope to visit you again some day."
Kriszti and Denes - travelled to Botswana (July 2007)
"We arrived safely home after our safari. It was fantastic. We had a very good time! We enjoyed every minute, even if the nights were really chilly! We liked our itineraries, thank you for your suggestion. We enjoyed the car which was perfectly equipped, and spacious! And we definitely liked Warren, he is a wonderful guy, was prepared for everything and cooked amazing foods! The best was the bobotjie! We learned as well a little bit of a bushman language! We already suggested your company for some tourist, as we were satisfied with your service!"
Nigel Rowe - travelled to Botswana, Zambia & Namibia (July 2007)
"I have recently arrived back home after a Jenman safari to Botswana Zambia & Namibia and would just like to say how perfect everything was from the patience of Rebecca helping me to arrange everything to the fantastic Blessed our guide who made sure everything went to plan. Thank you all once again & I would highly recommend Jenman Safari to any one wanting to go on safari."
Bettina Pleines-Kamm - travelled to Zambia (July 2007)
"We returned home healthy and full of amazing impressions and pictures. In general I have to say that the tour exceeded our high expectations very much. Thanks for your organisation. Everything was absolutely brilliant, even the pick-up and transfers. (... writing about visa issue in Zambia and not being able to be accommodated in the Waterfront) The tour was just exceptional. And the good, qualified and nice guide Jan Mecklenburg - he was just ideal: he managed his sometimes complicated tasks without any problem and always friendly!! We know what we'll do different next time. We weren't prepared for the African winter, we actually were quite surprised how cold Africa can be. Often the temperatures dropped below 0, the water pipes were frozen so that we couldn't take a warm shower and it is quite a special experience to have to defrost your water to be able to was dishes. One should pack a warm pyjama, thermal underwear and two warm fleece jackets. Very necessary are good shoes, one doesn't need pretty shoes or skirts and dresses as the lodges are very relaxed. And one can still stick to the limit of 12 kg. The lodges were all very comfortable and nice - very good choice! Before the trip one should buy an adapter to be able to recharge batteries as the international adapters one can get here in Germany are useless. One should also try not to take Traveller Cheques as it takes up a lot of time to exchange them. USD (not Euro) are much less complicated and can be exchange everywhere.Otherwise a big thank you to your partners Jenman Safaris, I would travel with them straight away again: the small groups, the itinerary, everything was perfect!
Conclusion:everything was brilliant, we are thanking you for the great organisation and are definitely going to travel to Africa with you again. And of course we will also happily recommend you. Many thanks and all the best."
Tamara Born - travelled to Zambia (July 2007)
"This holiday was a dream. We had a great group and our guide, Jan Mecklenburg, was really fantastic. The organisation was excellent Jan managed everything perfectly. We were all very impressed."
Gerald E. Weber - travelled to South Africa (July 2007)
"I wanted to drop you a note to tell you how much we appreciated the work done by Riaan during our 14 day trip. His overall work on this trip can only be described as exceptional. He's an excellent driver, a good cook, helpful and one of the nicest young men that I've met over the past 35 years, during which I was teaching at the University level. He was continually cheerful, easy to talk to and work with. He continually operated as a "real" professional tour guide and driver. Over the past 35 years I have taught field geology at UCSC for 20 + years and led scores of other field trips. I've had the opportunity to work with and hire numerous drivers, tour guides, field trip guides, cooks, etc. over this time period. I only wish that during those times I had been able to find someone as competent and reliable as Riaan. This guy is a real jewel - you are lucky to have him! Based on my experience with Jenman Safaris, I would recommend your company to anyone looking for a south African company to organize a trip and/or safari. Thanks for your contribution to a great experience."
Neil Uys - travelled to Madagascar (July 2007)
"Thanks for the arrangements of a fantastic holiday. The accommodation and diving were 100%. Best diving experience I ever had."
Barbara Burgess - travelled to Africa & Madagascar (June 2007)
"Finally made it home after three months in Africa and Madagascar. Really hard to settle back in to a routine here. Had a fantastic time, so many experiences of which Madagascar was one of the highlights. Had a thoroughly good time there - the itinerary was great and well balanced. The local staffs were very helpful and friendly and the driver/guide was excellent. Would recommend the trip to anyone. I was very pleased. Thank you for your help organising the trip for me and all the emails etc we had to exchange - it was worth it. Best wishes!"

Diana Wild - travelled to Botswana (June 2007)
"On Wednesday I returned from Botswana and still I am filled with the impressions gained during the trip. The beauty of the diverse landscapes, our experiences in general and the inner peace this country has conveyed are overwhelming! It appears that it is merely my body sitting in front of the computer, while my soul still wanders in Africa! As you will gather, I enjoyed it immensely and again would like to express my thanks for this trip! Jenman Safaris offers a very good product which absolutely matches its price-tag and the form of travel, which is a little different to the norm, comes with its very own appeal. It might not be everyone's cup of tea to be unable to dine at a restaurant, to camp and to assist with kitchen-work, but those clients that let themselves in for it, are rewarded with a very special group experience and much more intense tour-impressions. I really liked the choice of lodges. The course of the trip was coupled with a few hurdles. Car trouble entailed us having to push and shovel on one day but this merely added extra spice to an extraordinary day. The vehicles are super enough space and quite comfortable! The rotating system enabled everyone to occupy the front seats, which were in great demand. Hennie is a very good driver (respect!) and he was always friendly and helpful, as a guide. He handled every problem with efficiency and always maintained a good overview, no matter what challenges arose. Plus, he can cook a big praise goes in his direction! All in all a very successful trip Next year I would love to go on tour with you again. As for my clients, I have now discovered a very good alternative product to offer, when wanting to divert from ordinary bus tours. I will gladly recommend you! Thats all for now"
Mabel Wilkins - travelled to Madagascar (June 2007)
"We did the tour called the 1000 views of Madagascar - we just loved the contrasts - from the dry Bush to the dense & thick rain forests to the beautiful seaside...Madagascar has got so much to offer. I will definitely be going back soon, probably to see the whales at Ile St Marie. Thank you to Jenman Island Safaris for making my holiday such a memorable one."
Melissa Wattam - travelled to South Africa (May 2007)
"It's Melissa Roberts who you sent on safari with Kruger Park Safaris & Siyabona Africa to Kruger Park on May 5-8th. I wanted to write to say how much we enjoyed the trip. It was truely awesome! We were so impressed by the team on site & especially enjoyed driving around Kruger - and the bungalow that you organised was the icing on the cake! So thanks very much for organising us a very memorable trip. I did want to ask one favour: I seem to have lost the memory card from our camera. I remember taking a few pictures as we were leaving the campsite at Pretoriuskop & also remember dropping my camera just after. I wonder if the chip fell out there or in the van that George the driver used to transfer us to the White River base? Would it be possible for you to check with the folks at Siyabona to see if one was found? I would appreciate it very much. We have wonderful memories of the trip, ut no photos now unfortunately... Thanks again for everything!"

Sally Whittle-Long - travelled to Madagascar (April 2007)
"I am more than happy to give you feedback on our trip, as we had the most incredible time! When I first started planning this trip, I didnt really know what I wanted to do, where we should go, etc. The assistance I got from Rebecca at Jenman Safaris was incredible. She answered every single question promptly, giving me all the information I needed. She was wonderful, organising trips that we wanted to do, she really made sure that I was getting the package I asked for. The holiday itself was magical, despite being caught in the cyclone! We luxuriated in the cliqued warm turquoise water, white sandy beaches and palm trees. The water was so warm, it was like a bath! We were so excited by the Malagasy people, and so impressed by how hard they are trying to learn English and assist tourists. We are definitely going to return to Madagascar! If you need any more detail, or photos, let me know, I will be happy to provide you with both! Many thanks!"

Carol, Susan & Emily - travelled to madagascar (April 2007)
"We found the operator listened to the sort of holiday we wanted in Madagascar - and Jenman Safaris delivered what we wanted. We only had 10 days so the slice of Madagascar we saw on the east side - Tana, Andasibe (lemurs!), Hotel Pangalanes (water is a very good way to travel in Madagascar - up the lakes and canals behind the east coast), then Isle Aux Nattes just off Isle Sainte Marie at Hotel Maningory was heaven! Beach side cabins and superb service, sun and swimming. We were able to negotiate changes to the itinerary they prepared following our own research. The price was mid-range which we wanted, and all the transfers were taken care of - a great boon on Madagascar, given we had little time and our French is so lacking! Thanks - will recommend them to anyone."

"Just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed our trip and really liked Johan. He was very knowledgeable and also a great cook. We really learned a lot about the people and the land. It was a real eye opener. We would have no trouble in recommending Jenman to anyone."
Alan Bell -travelled to Aquilla and Inverdoorn (March 2007)
"Just a brief note to thank you so much for my safaris this week to Aquilla and Inverdoorn. I think that both Aquilla and Inverdoorn had good points in their favour. Inverdoorn was larger and had more animals but I think I preferred Aquilla. I was able to get closer to the animals, the food and facilities were better, and they had a natural water source (with hippo in residence). I really enjoyed them and appreciated the efficiency of everything associated with the booking and going on the trips. Please pass my thanks to all concerned. If I ever get to Cape Town again, your website will be my first port of call..."
Terry Thormin - travelled to Africa (March 2007)
"This was my first trip to Africa, and the one place in the world I most wanted to get to. It was an incredible trip, in many ways exceeding my expectations, and I certainly look forward to getting back to Africa in the near future. Thank you Jenman for a great trip!"
Emmanuel & Mariana Lopez - travelled to South Africa and Victoria Falls (February 2007)
"Everything went great!! We had a terrific time. All transfers, hotels, etc.. that you arranged were on time and met our expectations. Particularly, we loved Vic Falls... I'ts a lovely place to holiday!! The hotel there was beautiful... quite "african style" yet very clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and the location was superb (right next to the mighty Zambezi).. We even had a cute warthog family wandering in the hotel's gardens while we were having breakfast... quite memorable!! I strongly recomend the rafting activities in the lower Zambezi and doing some canoeing in the upper end... If you don't mind the occasional hippo or crocodile of course! Kruger NP was also very enjoyable... we wish we would have stayed longer... we couldn't see any lion!! Anyway, we understand it's a matter of luck, and it gives us a good excuse to come again! I hope that my feedback helps other travellers to be encouraged to further explore southern Africa, particularly with your wise guidance!! Thanks a lot again!!!!"
Catherine Nicolaides - travelled to Madagascar (February 2007)
"The service from Jenman Safaris was first rate; from the original enquiry to the final booking, and then having to deal with later changes. Rebecca was absolutely fantastic. We were a large group with many questions and quite a few changes, yet she did not once falter in her professional response and went out of her way to accommodate us. In so far as Madagascar & Nosy Be is concerned: we spent a week on the island of Nosy Be and had many an adventure. From rowing in pirogues through quite a hectic storm, to driving madly round the island in an open top, snorkelling on Tanikely, New Years Eve with a Hindu family (extended of course), a stunning couple of days on Nosy Iranja. It is still a little piece of heaven on earth and I fell completely in love with the environment, the culture and the people. At the very last minute I decided to stay for an extra week whereupon I was able to enjoy a very local experience. Despite the language barrier I was treated to such wonderful hospitality from everyone I encountered; the whole experience humbled me beyond belief. The evening spent in Tana was also an adventure - more so that I was there alone - and I intend to return to the mainland on my next holiday, which will be quite soon. What else can I say? You need to be adventurous; you need to have an open mind. You can not visit expecting it to be like other Indian Ocean island e.g. Mauritius. You need to get out and appreciate the wonder and beauty of the people and the land; so, if you are one of those people who prefer resort-type holidays then this is probably not for you. Conversational French or Italian would be great but is not absolutely necessary. I made many friends and have very limited French and no Italian."

"Nadia and I had a wonderful time in Madagascar - everything went smoothly! Thanks for everything. My trip with Nadia was, overall, the best time Ive had in many years and your organization played a major part in making it happen."
Udo & Katja Schlenz - travelled to South Africa (January 2007)
"Why should you travel with Jenman? Excellent organisation; good equipment; the guide was brilliant: very professional and dedicated; good campsites and business partners!"
Diana & Achim Graesser - travelled to South Africa (September 2006)
"You organized our honeymoon trip to South Africa for us and we just wanted to let you know that we had an absolutely wonderful time and were really overwhelmed by the beauty of this country. Chilli Pepper Lodge, Mpumalanga: This was just great. Beautiful surroundings, very good food, wonderful clean and comfortable rooms and the hosts were extraordinarily nice and made us feel like home. I was ill and they were really of great help to us and when we went to Kruger Park I forgot to charge my camera, so Chris (the host) came driving to the gate of the park bringing me my battery charger, so this was really really great. I think that they also upgraded our room to a suite. We do absolutely recommend this place for further bookings!! Thanks a lot for making our honeymoon such a special trip which we will never forget."
Steven, Jann & Ginger Merry - travelled to Livingstone (August 2006)
"LOVED the tented lodges; the hosts at Taita Falcoln Lodge in Livingstone made the stay very special; Elephant Valley Lodge - loved the view and the animals round the lodge; the arrival at Mboma Island with the lit lanterns was wonderful. This trip gets a 5 out of 5!"
Anton & Jenny van Blerck - travelled to Botswana (July 2006)
"We LOVED Chobe Safari lodge and everything it (and Botswana) had to offer. What a fantastic place with awesome hospitality, food, service and game viewing. BRILLIANT! Thanks again for everything, we had an awesome time!! Well done to you and the Jenman team."
Robert & Gudrun Kossler - travelled to Namibia (June 2006)
"We are back at home now and I'm glad for using Jenman Safaris. It was a wonderful trip with a super-guide. Thank you for preparing this tour and I`m sure, we'll come back to Africa and Jenman Safaris."
Louis and Pieter - travelled to Victoria Falls (June 2006)
"We realised a week before our departure that we completely forgot to arrange any activities for our stay in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe. A web search led us to Jenman Safaris, and Rebecca. In spite of the very short notice, and our long list of do's and don'ts, Rebecca did a sterling job, even working after hours in order to get everything confirmed before we left. On her recommendation we did the Lion Encounter, facilitated by Safari Par Excellence, which turned out to be a once in a lifetime experience, and the highlight of our trip. Rebecca truly went the extra mile in ensuring that our week-long engagement celebration was really special, and Jenman Safaris will surely be our first agent of choice in future!"

Marie Egan - travelled to South Africa (June 2006)
"You beat me to it....I was going to e-mail you today to say I had a brilliant time on the safari. I really enjoyed the whole trip; it totally lived up to my expectations. Meeting Debbie was brilliant, she is such a lovely lady....I can't say enough about Cyrintha, a fantastic guide, she made the trip so enjoyable. I've just finished the wine tour day trip too and went on the Cape Point one the other day....both again were fun. We saw so much wildlife it was amazing. Thanks again for everything - I'll definitely tell everyone what a wonderful trip and company you are and hopefully I'll be back next year for the South Africa tour."
Kevin Hunstman - travelled to Swaziland (May 2006)
"Thanks for setting up such a wonderful trip, Candice. Our trip was amazing. It absolutely exceeded our expectations. We thoroughly enjoyed the scenery of the Blyde River Canyon area. The Tangala lodge, in particular, was the highlight of the trip (we saw all the Big 5 and then some). Unfortunately, we weren't able to make it to the Lion encounter in Swaziland, but the wildlife we saw in the Thornybush Game Reserve more than made up for it. Donna and I were both impressed with the novelty, charm, and hospitality of the Rainbird Chalet and we'd like to thank you, in particular, for the very detailed driving directions. They were crucial for driving around Swaziland at night."

Dennis Carr - travelled to Botswana (May 2006)
"The Chobe trip was one of the most enjoyable of my entire trip. I would be inclined to spend some time at Chobe my next trip. My stay at Chitwa was wonderful, and three days in Kruger at Lower Sabie was also super - loved every bit of it (and will likely try to expore the whole park my next trip). I ended up seeing all there is to see, especially a mother and daughter leopard loving on, playing with, and grooming each other. Possibly the most incredible sight I have ever seen - it literally brought tears to my eyes. All in all, an awesome trip, and one I hope to repeat before long. Again, thanks for your help and I'll get back to you when I start planning my return engagement. "
Olivia & Patrick Tabone - travelled to South Africa (May 2006)
"First of all me and Patrick would like to thank you for the excellent preparation from your side regarding our safari trip in South Africa. Everything went according to plan from the pick up at the airport until the moment we sadly had to depart from SA. We really appreciated that you had cancelled for us that transfer from Lions Head Lodge to Cape Town Lodge, that saved us a lot of money. All the accommodation was fine along the safari, but I have to say that Cape Town Lodge was the best of all. We were close to the centre in fact we used to walk to and from V&A Waterfront. The waterfront was huge and had a lot to explore about. During the safari it was fun, we were a good team and the guides were great! They really looked after us very well. They prepared very good food I have to go on diet now as I put on weight! The safari was excellent we have seen a lot of wild animals, from the big 5 we only missed the leopard. Now I know a lot more about South Africa, and the people are very warm especially the children, they are so cute. What impressed me most in this tour was Blyde River Canyon, the Drakensberg and the Big 4. We have plenty of pictures and video to keep for our memories. Thanks again and I already recommended you to some friends that wish to visit South Africa in the near future. "
Susanne Will - travelled to Victoria Falls (April 2006)
"Back at home and just overwhelmed from a sensational, amazing and perfectly organized Jenman Tour through South Africa. I would like to thank you a million times for your professional and patient support! I have experienced, seen, learned so much, I was catered for with delicious vegetarian food and was shepherded all the timeTherefore, the 3 weeks were an adventure, which I will keep in my mind forever! Jenman is highly recommendable. Everything was perfectly organized, as well the transfer from Zambia to Zimbabwe and the micro light flight. But one thing must be said: the beauty of the Victoria Falls cannot reach the one of Iguazu. The horse back riding in Zimbabwe was brilliant. I always felt secure and in good hands. The friendly people, well-spoken in English, excellent lodges with terrific panoramic views, fantastic nature and wildlife in a nutshell: a dream!"
Nathan Brett - Travelled to South Africa (March 2006)
"It was amazing - thank you so very much for everything. The accommodation was superb, with friendly and knowledgeable managers/owners. They really went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. The shark diving and safari was also really great. We did an additional horse back safari (which I feel was a real highlight). We both felt your services were fantastic. It was fantastic and thank you again - shall be recommending your services!!"

Sharon Messet - travelled to South Africa (March 2006)
"We are back already from South Africa and we had the most amazing time over there - I just wish we could have gone for longer!!! I just wanted to say a big thank you for your help, especially with Summerwood, it was just beautiful! The rooms were great, the pool lovely and the people were superb! They went out of their way to help us and I would highly recommend it to everyone! Just to say also we went to Tokara for my birthday and had the most amazing dinner and wine too - with a great view, thanks for the recommendation! Thank you again for everything...you were great. "
Eric & Carl - travelled to South Africa (January 2006)
"Our trip from Vic Falls to Cape Town met all our expectations small personalized groups, fabulous guide and professional assistance. Our guide was a pro, a joy... friendly, knowledgeable, hardworking and caring, passionate about her job with incredibel intuition and ability to judge her clients needs. Overall we were very pleased with our trip!"
Debbie & Chris Winchell - travelled to South Africa (January 2006)
"Well, it's hard to believe but we're back home after the most incredible trip. Everything you booked was outstanding - particularly the Winelands and the Inverdoorn Safari. My wife, Debbie, just kept calling everything magical. I almost called you while we were there, but it seemed we were so busy doing this and that, that Friday came before we knew it. The Twelve Apostles Hotel is magnificent in its own right - the service, accommodations and staff there are among the best we've experienced around the world. Anyway it was all fantastic, and I thank you so much for the part you played in making it so. We plan to come back next year and see some other areas - hopefully to another game reserve, Victoria Falls, and elsewhere - so, I'm sure I'll be back in touch then, if not before. Many thanks, again!"
Flip & Lily - travelled to Namibia (December 2005)
"My wife and I joined a safari through Namibia end of last year. We really had an awesome trip and often think back to the time when we were travelling through this beautiful country, experiencing differnet cultures and enjoying nature and the wild animals in the bush. Our guides did an increbible job. Thanks a lot for everything!!!"
Tanja & Edwin Bayer, Wolfgang Prillip - travelled to Tanzania (November 2005)
"Our Tanzania holiday was the best ever! We climbed Kilimanjaro and went on a safari afterwards. We had an awesome time and we are extremely happy with the trip we did. The Kili was superb! We loved how everything was organized (like - I guess - everyone did so far and were impressed by the professionalism). The Safari was just amazing and we absolutely loved "the Tides" in Pangani, the nature and cultural experience. We definitely can recommend Jenman Safaris and the value for money is excellent! Well done and thanks so much for everything!!!"

Mandy Dillon - travelled to Africa (September 2005)
"Just wanted to say a massive thank you for helping to arrange our holiday. I'm sure you'll be pleased to hear that we had a fantastic time, the safari was great... we saw loads of animals, our guide and cook were both brilliant and the lodges we stayed in were excellent. I'm really pleased we went for the small group option (which in the end was just my husband and myself) it meant we had loads of flexibility and didn't have to share our guide with anyone. We did see some big groups being ferried about and were pleased that we weren't among them!"
Adel Zakaria - travelled to South Africa (August 2005)
"We just came back from our Southern Experience Safari. Thanks you very much for making all the arrangements. Jeremy and I had a perfect trip. We cant think of a single thing we would change. It was the most memorable trip. The itinerary was great, the scenery, the wildlife, the accommodation, the weather was perfect even meeting native people we met in Namibia was an amazing experience. Our guide was absolutely great, a very knowledgeable individual with a great attitude and always willing to share. Im sure that well be able to find some time next year where we can bring our family together for a safari with you!"

Veronica Healy - travelled to South Africa (August 2005)
"I did a 3 day walking safari. Jenman Safaris made all the arrangements for accommodation in Johannesburg before and after the safari for me - all done over the internet and everything was very smoothly organised. Our two rangers were Brett and Brett and we had a great 3 days with them. They were great fun to be with. Their enthusiasm and knowledge of the bush was impressive and they looked after us very well.
It was a great experience and I would definitely book with Jenman Safaris again!"
Tina Beshers - travelled to Livingstone & Swakopmund (June 2005)
"My best friend and I were on the Livingstone to Swakopmund trip, and it was perhaps the best experience of our life. Our first day was so incredible that we both believed nothing else could top it. How wrong we were! Each day was better than the last. Our guide was incredible, and taught us so much about the land, the wildlife and the culture. But best of all, she was fun (not to mention, a great cook). Thanks Jenman for the trip of a lifetime, and I look forward to visiting Africa again with you. "
Irene & Harry Thomaidis - travelled to Tanzania (May 2005)
"I would like to thank everyone on the Jenman Safaris Team for making our Honeymoon the most exciting and memorable vacation we ever had. We did the Tanzanian Northern Circuit with a week Safari at Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro Crater and the Serengeti, with also a week of relaxation on Zanzibar Island. I didn't know what to expect and I got the WORLD. I don't think I'll ever experience a thing like this ever again. You get 4 thumbs up for everything. We did not have a care in the world. Thank you for handling it from our departure and return back to Toronto. Our Private safari was fabulous with our Tour Guide, Gregory was very friendly and informative. We miss him dearly. Too many stories, over 500 pictures and 6 hours of video. You will have to experience this once in your lifetime and I plan to do the exact itenarary once more within my life. We have left Tanzania, but Tanzania hasn't left us!"

Josephine Gonzales - travelled to East Africa (May 2005)
"After our Okavango Delta trip, this year we joined a safari through East Africa. On the whole, a very memorable trip and don't think we could have got to view so much wildlife and fantastic landscape if it hadn't been done overland. The highlight of the trip were the gorillas in Congo which we felt were a once in a lifetime experience and never to be forgotten. Looking back on the wonderful photos, scenery, wildlife and local people we're planning to go to Mozambique and Malawi with you next year, to explore some more African countries."

Biggi Schoengen - travelled to South Africa (April 2005)
"We've spent an incredible time in the Kruger National Park! During the Safari, our guide was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the Fauna and Flora of the National Park. We really enjoyed great hospitality and the food was just amazing. It was an unbelievable experience that we'll never forget and can recommend to everybody. Thanks so much to Jenman Safaris for the perfect organisation and all the pre-departure information that fulfilled our African adventure."

Nick Andell - travelled to South Africa (March 2005)
"We had an extremely enjoyable trip from Cape Town to Livingstone. It is true that the route contains some wonderful highlights, which would make it seem almost impossible not to have a great time. Much of our enjoyment can be directly attributed to our guide who worked incredibly hard with infectious enthusiasm, impressive knowledge of the areas and all the information that was given us during the game drives to ensure that we all have a good time Overall we were very impressed with our dealings with Jenman and wish you every success."
Josephine Gonzales - travelled to Botswana (July 2004)
"During our Okavango Delta trip in Botswana last year we were travelling together with 3 Aussies and after our 5 day experience we became friends for life. As naturalists they were able to comment/advise on the local birds and flora. Being only 5 of us we had the luxury of a very unique group amongst friends. Our guide was also our cook and driver but being a small group we had a marvellous time - no hitches, tents were excellent and easy to put up/down. Also the company manager did wonders to get our lost luggage to our camp site two days after the trip started."
Angelo Farelli - travelled to South Africa (July 2003)
"No one will how beautiful South Africa and Africa is unless they have seen and experienced it for themselves. I loved Cape Town, the warm sunshine, the beaches; the friendly people everything. Namibia was great too, the sand dunes when it changes colour as the sun sets was amazing, the game drives and seeing animals that I normally see on TV was unbelievable. Being in Africa one tends to forget you going to be in the open bush among trees, dust even insects but I didnt mind at all. I especially enjoyed the being in Africa while eating breakfast, lunch but dinner was the best as we sat under the warm African Skies with stars lighting the sky. I wished I couldve stayed there forever, but as the saying goes 'All good things come to an end"
Caroline Otto - travelled to South Africa (June 2003)
"We had a GREAT trip! I am still searching for new words for 'amazing'. Jenman Safaris provided a spectacular (diverse, extremely knowledgeable, interesting, interested, good-humored, and delicious) experience. By week two, I knew I would be working to come back to Africa. I would not hesitate to recommend them as a safari service. Can't wait for the next one!"
Birgit Pinte - travelled to Cape town (December 2002)
"After everybody was telling me that the garden route tour is a must-do when you are visiting Cape Town I decided to do it with Jenman African Safaris. It was an 8 day trip, full of scenic drive and fun! The first time in my life I saw whales in Hermanus and I still cant believe that I really did this thrilling bungee jump! The coastline of South Africa is unique and our guide was giving us a lot of interesting information about the places we visited, for example the Cango Caves. My group was fantastic, too and I want to take the chance to send greetings to everybody - we has just a lovely time!"
Georg Bonhoff - travelled to Botswana (December 2002)
"With pleasure Im writing a follow up regarding my Botswana holiday with Jenman African Safaris. Still today it is in good memories and I loved being out in the bush with an amazing group of people. The pre-tour organisation was excellent and the assistance was very helpful and all the tips and hints made it possible to enjoy this trip like we did. Our tour guide was a huge fund of knowledge in different things and made this trip unforgettable. The game drives were superb and we couldnt ask for more especially seeing all these elephants with their babies in Chobe National Park was and unforgettable experience. Still today weve this big picture on the wall in our lounge. A huge thanks to the Jenman Safaris Team and Ill definitely recommend you amongst all our friends. "
Kryss Katsiavriades - travelled to Victoria Falls (December 2002)
"I have to say a big thank you, firstly to your good self, for organising such an excellent itinerary for me and patiently responding to all my questions and concerns. It all fitted into place from the moment I stepped off the plane at Vic Falls and was greeted by a placard with my name on. It continued with an efficient transfer to a very nice hotel, followed by two superb tours. A very big thank you to guide and driver for three weeks. He led with calmness, knowledge and wit. He was patient enough to answer my many questions about the wildlife, culture and geography. He put up with my complete lack of outdoor expertise. The group and the guide were indeed an excellent company."
Inge Mueller - travelled to Africa (November 2002)
"Who wouldve thought that my first trip to Africa would be so exciting and enjoyable. I have never experienced the beauty of its natural surroundings, its vast and never ending landscapes, its beautiful creatures and wildlife, the warmth and hospitality of its African people. We had amazing time together and the whole group became like a family on tour, which was great. This was an unforgettable experience and one that I would like to do again. Thank you Jenman Safaris for a wonderful time in Africa."
Tatjana Novak - travelled to South Africa (November 2002)
"I just want to congratulate Jenman safaris on an awesome trip. I have been to South Africa before but never on a safari which was the highlight of my visit. Everyhting was well organized and planned and the tour guide was extremely friendly and had excellent knowledge of all the places visited on our trip. Traveling alone, I thought I would not fit in but one tends to forget how easy it is to makes new friends. I enjoyed being out in Africa camping, eating African food and enjoying African company, both humans and animals. I would definitely return for another safari and bring some friends along. THANK YOU JENMAN FOR A GREAT TIME!"

Laura Morris - travelled to South Africa (November 2002)
"The Northern Experience Deluxe safari was really a good choice of safaris to choose from. My husband, Frank and I had a great time in the Okavango Delta especially. The Mokoro rides were so relaxing. The scenery was unbeatable and the amount of birds was indescribable. We really enjoyed the canoeing on the Orange River too. It was my first time on a camping trip and thoroughly enjoyed the adventure! I will also never forget the delicious, traditional and truly South African 'braais' that we had. I am taking that word back to the States with me. Thanks again Jenman! "
Jane Curtis - travelled to Namibia (November 2002)
"We had a really memorable holiday going on Safari. Our itinerary took us through spectacular scenery in Namibia, game viewing in Etosha National Park and also in the Okavanga Delta in Botswana - to mention just some of the things we saw and did. Especially the helicopter fight in Vic Falls and quad biking in Swakopmund was an absolute highlight! Our guide was knowledgeable, seemingly tireless, a great cook and had a good sense of humour too. We enjoy camping and therefore don't mind a little bit of discomfort. Overall thought that we had excellent value for our money."
Marina Ferez - travelled to Botswana (July 2002)
"We have done Botswana safari and to say it right from the beginning: It was amazing! We were looking forward to this trip for a long time and it fulfilled all our expectations! We were impressed most of all by the Okavango Delta, which is of an outstanding natural beauty and habits huge variety of birds. Further highlights were the Vic Falls and the Chobe National Reserve where we were able to watch large herds of elephants drinking at the river. We are often taking our pictures out and are thinking back at this 14 unforgettable days!"
Stefan Winter - travelled to South Africa (July 2002)
"Four countries in 20 days, from Cape Town to Vic Falls- an incredible experience! It is really difficult to decide what my personal highlight was, because there were just too many unforgettable moments The sunset in Sossuvlei, when these huge sand dunes are turned in red light, was definitely one of my favorites! You really cant describe it you have to see it. Furthermore I really loved the Etosha National Park and the Okavango Delta with its unique landscape and all the animals it habits. When we arrived at Vic Falls nobody could believe that the 20 days were already gone, but everybody was sure that it was the best trip of their life!"

Jean Miller - travelled to Botswana & Namibia (August 2001)
"I would like to say a big thank you for taking so much interest and for your best efforts to make my safari really memorable. The wildlife and food variation was excellent. We loved the scenery in the Namib Desert and in Botswana and the local guide seemed to have a sixth sense about how and where to spot animals. We saw several Lions including a "Buffalo Kill" which was amazing. We also saw a Leopard and all the other usual things in good numbers. In short we had an excellent trip. Thank-you"

Martina Schaefer - travelled to Botswana (July 2001)
"Our safari in Botswana was one of the best holiday's we've ever had! Jenman Safaris were extremely helpful and efficient - they pulled out all the stops to ensure that we went to all the places we wanted within the short time we had. The safari itself was excellent, never a dull moment. Our guide was extremely professional, knowledgeable and good company. We were on the go for the full 6 days and saw masses of wildlife and game. I couldn't tell you what was the highlight - there were so many! I now have lots of great photos and fantastic memories - I can't wait to return! "

"We spent a wonderful 10 days exploring the Garden Route. It was perfect. Everything was perfect! The weather, the food, the accommodation the company and our guide. We saw unbelievable sites and views. The whale watching in Hermanus was fantastic and certainly a highlight of mine. Knysna and Plett are breathtaking places which I would certainly and hoping to visit again. I made some excellent friendships on this trip. This trip will be in my memories forever. South Africa is a great country all in all."

"First of all Id like to thank you for your quick correspondence and making it possible for me and my friends to organise a wonderful self-drive around Cape Town in such a short time. You were the only operator that could give us a perfect itinerary for only one week of travelling! Our trip was the perfect mix of adventure, sightseeing and relaxing. All the accommodations used where in a beautiful setting and comfortable, easy to access and most important with good breakfasts! Thank you again for making it possible to travel spontaneous and still good!"
Doris Mackay - travelled to Namibia (October 1999)
"Wow, Namibia is such a diverse country! It was truly the highlight country of the whole trip. From wet lush areas to dry desert. Absolutely loved it! It is such a clean and pretty country too. Swakopmund had so much to offer. We did the skydiving, quad biking and dolphin cruise. It was a good place to do curio shopping and eat good seafood. I'd like to thank my guide and Jenman Safaris again for such a wonderful experience. I am sure I will be back sometime soon to experience it all again!"
Liza Peterson - travelled to Africa (September 1999)
"An outstanding vacation. A kaleidoscope of history, culture, adventure and wild Africa in just 20 days! Our guides knowledge, respect, commitment and enthusiasm was exceptional. Throughout the trip, despite the remoteness of some of the areas visited, the attention to small details assured our comfort and safety. Memories of those magical evenings around the campfire under African stars after an excellent meal will remain bright for many years. Keep up the excellent work."

Pam - travelled to Botswana
I recently returned from Jenman's 14 day Upgraded Botswana Wildlife
Breakaway Safari. We were a great group of 10 - 2 Irish, 5 Americans
and 3 Australians and were fortunate to have the services of driver/
guide Mike Miles.  He really made our trip special, sharing his
extensive knowledge of the wildlife, customs, history and politics of
the countries we visited during the drives and around the campfires as
we ate the delicious meals he prepared. He left no stone unturned to
maximize our enjoyment of the safari. In the main our lodges were
good.  The itinerary was well thought out and we saw lots of animals
but alas no cheetah, leopard or rhino.  A pleasant surprise for me was
the amazing variety of birdlife we encountered. The mokoro trip
through the Okavango Delta was magical.
Ursula Essamledin - travelled to Botswana
"Our journey was really a very nice experience. Again, we have learnt a lot from our Guide Chantal. The number of travelers was good but it shouldnt have been more. The meals were excellent and Chantal always cooked what we liked. Every meal turned out to be amazing. Unfortunately we couldnt visit the Makgadikgadi Pans and a few spots in the parks because of the rain. We will recommend Chantal and Jenman Safaris to our friends and to our agency any time."
