The Waterberg Plateau is a park that is dedicated for research and is a breeding ground for some of the endangered Namibia animals. Animals found in the Waterberg Plateau include; tsessebe, roan and sable antelope. This plateau also contains a small population of the white rhino which is on the endangered list for Africa. There is also a seal park called the Cape Cross Seal Reserve which is about 60km2 of area and contains an ever growing population of seals - about 80 000 to 100 000 seals at any given time are found here.
