Flamingo Camp Safaris

Flamingo Camp is situated in a scenic setting against low cliffs on the beach near the mouth of the dry Rio Dos Flamingos.  This area of coast is at the northern extent of the Namib Desert and is almost completely devoid of other tourist activity, making Flamingo Camp a unique and secluded rest stop.  Flamingo Camp consists of seven rustic bungalows with comfortable beds, showers, and flushing toilets, and can accommodate up to 25 people (and many more in tents, if necessary).  An open-plan dining and bar area is situated above a safe swimming beach. 

Flamingo Camp is in the middle of 70 km of uninhabited coast, which supports virtually untouched fish populations, and its hinterland consists of highly diverse and beautiful desert landscapes.  Exploring the area around Flamingo Lodge is a must. The fishing on this coastline is legendary, and an adventure not to miss. Snorkelling is also available. There is a nearby canyon that is great for hiking and sightseeing, and the birdlife is amazing.
